Could I use almond oil with Fenugreek powder?
ETA: Is it really a 1:1 ratio oil to herbs? That seems like a lot. Is it possible to take to much Fenugreek? It's all I have until I get paid, and every recipe has it in it.

I've done a bit of research and it seems like almond oil has a good absorption rate... so with adequate steeping, the oil should carry the right stuff right on into your.. ah... skin and be very effective. =) I'm not sure about the ratio... if you dont want to use too much fenugreek maybe you can use fennel instead? I think I've seen that fennel is used sometimes instead of fenugreek... but then fennel is more expensive according to herbalcom.com (which isn't all that expensive... 3.20 for a whole pound of powder)
sorry I cant help with the ration!

You can use too much Fenugreek but I wouldn't worry too much about it with the externals.
As far as using the powder.....I have used it in my batter, and it works, but if you can get the Fenugreek extract instead. It's easier to mix in there, and it's really not that much.
Just find a batter recipe that has the same ingredients you are wanting to use and copy it.....just instead of the olive oil you use your almond oil, if that's what you go with.

i add a little cayenne (chilli powder - only a little mind!) to my massage blend, cos it is good for the circulation, opens up blood vessels, and gives a bit of heat to the area too

Anyone know how long a boobie batter is good for? I found a mixture I made at least 6 months ago in a drawer. It's fennel extract, EPO and EVOO. I wonder if it's still good.

I would think it would be ok to use. I don't think it would hurt to try it. If you are in doubt perhaps you could make some fresher batter and use what you found until the newer one has had a chance to sit a bit. Then maybe you could alternate between the two.
If you kept it in a drawer it wouldn't have been exposed to light or temp. changes.

Thanks Serene! I did attempt to use it and it gave me some pretty strong sensations so I'm guessing it's okay. I will have to make some more though to have ready when this stuff is gone. Thanks for the help!

I was thinking that it might be ok to use it because I know that in cooking a lot of flavors get stronger the longer they soak. I'm not quite sure how to explain it. Just thinking of flavored cooking oils, and in making mustard, not that making mustard has any relevance except in how they prepare the seeds. Anyways, that's off subject.
Did it give you stronger feelings than any other batter you had used? Serene

Can you use only evening primrose oil (EPO) and fenugreek powder? Sometimes I just squeeze the oil out of an EPO capsule, add some fenugreek powder, and massage it in. Is this productive?
