Chicas, look what I found! Maybe we should add lavender and tea tree oils to our boobie batter:
Products Containing Lavender Oil Linked to Breast Growth in Boys
WEDNESDAY, Jan. 31 (HealthDay News) -- Dr. Clifford Bloch, a pediatric endocrinologist at the University of Colorado, encountered three unusual patients last year: young boys who were growing breasts.
Aside from their gynecomastia, as the condition is called, there seemed to be nothing else unusual about the boys, who were 10, 7 and 4 years old. But Bloch soon picked up a common thread. All were using products containing lavender or tea tree oil -- a "healing balm" in one case, lavender-scented skin lotions and soap in another, and shampoo and hairstyling gel containing lavender oil in the third.
Bloch was "sharp enough to pick up on the idiopathic [unusual] nature of the condition," said Kenneth Korach, chief of laboratory reproductive and developmental toxicology at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Korach also worked on the three cases and is an author of a report on the boys in the Feb. 1 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
The discovery of the gynecomastia link in boys has led some researchers to suspect lavender and tea tree oils, which are present in various personal care products including shampoos and lotions, may also contribute to the increased incidence of early breast development in girls.

I am trying to find out which oil base would be best and most effective to massage with. I am a Vata type and I always thought olive oil would be the rigth oil for that type, but I found an article that I thought was interesting and here is what it says “One study compared topical olive oil with sunflower oil and found that olive oil had no effect on epidermal barrier function, whereas topical sunflower oil resulted in significant improvement in the skin barrier.” ...does that mean it does not work to help absorb the herbs that are mixed into the batter? altmedicine.about.com/od/massage/a/massage_oil.htm

However, for penetration of the top layer of your skin, olive oil works fine. Herbs sitting in oil do eventually extract out, but you don't wan to use it for a base if you're trying to pull it into your system. Wen'

Hmmm, I am confused.
Isn’t that the point of massaging to try to pull the herbal content into your system, with localized on your breasts? Or is it enough to penetrat the top layer of your skin to get a localized effect on the breasts...am I making sense???

It's the stimulation which raises the prolactin levels. Prolactin + estrogen= fat in breasts. You can make it 2 for 1 by putting estrogenic sources right into the breast region. Don't forget, it'll still circulate in the body once it gets to the bloodstream. So, massage is still the most imp. part. Wen'

How long can you keep boobie batter? Could I just make a bunch (like 8+oz) or should I only make a few days worth in a little bottle?
