From: warrior-girl Sent: 6/23/2003 1:55 PM Hi Fawn, Fudge here again. Just did a quick search but couldn't find much of a thread. But I did find this (also found by Wahaik) - sounds as though Wenonae is the one in the know (yeah Wenonae!!): Yadira, I just went through the archive and found a previous discussion on stretch marks with a helpful reply in it. Thought it might help to refer back to it. Wahaika Discussion: Stretch Marks, Started by Yadira 4/14/2003 7:28 PM From: Wenonae Sent: 4/14/2003 11:34 AM I have a tragic story with a potentially happy ending. When I was abt 9yo, I was given steroid ointment to help check eczema inflammation. I put it everywhere where I thought there were problems. I wound up putting it on my inner thighs where the skin is thin. In any case, I started seeing striations...and put more on to 'help' the problem. Of course it got worse. Then, I grew 8" over the next couple of years. That wrecked absolute havoc on my skin...and the mark grew so deep and wide, I could stick my finger into my skin past the first knuckle. The worse part was, I was tall and skinny..and drs said there was nothing to be done since there was not enough skin to cut out....then pull over. I tried many, many things (cocoa butter, castor oil, creams, etc)...and finally prayed up a doctor who told me abt using Retin-A (yes, the stuff for acne). Well using this, 24K I.U. Vitamin E oil, and Emu Oil (substance which deeply penatrates dermal layers), I was no longer able to pull loose skin out...and even this took 2.5 years. Now, just recently, there is a product on the market, Stri-vectin, who utilizes the collagen re-building ingredients of Retin-A AND other natural ingredients, sans the irritation. I CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU HOW GOOD IT'S LOOKING NOW . This ointment/cream stuff is my miracle in a tube. The $93 + S&H I had to pay...is worth EVERY single drop. It's the ONLY product I've used which does EVERYTHING it says it will do. If it works on me...it'll work on ANYONE. It's worth the try espeically since it has a 30 day garauntee. However, just like the label says, if you can't dedicate to putting it on 2-3 times a day...save your money and your time. Extra tip...for applying during the day...put some in a small container (like lip gloss) and you can take it with you when you go to the rest room and apply it then. It retails at $135, but on the web it's $99 including S&H. www.stri-vectin.com/

Yep - Wen posted the ingredients for the "Striadril Complex (see product details for ingredients list)" and I wanted to look them up. Wish I could find it.

From: Karli Sent: 6/23/2003 6:35 PM I've been using Stri Vectin for 3 1/2 weeks. I'll tell you what it's done for me so far... I have a few stretch marks on the top of my boobs. They are white and not very big. The cream hasn't seemed to do much for them, but that wasn't my biggest concern. I wanted it for wrinkles. It's an awesome wrinkle/firming cream. My face has taken on a glow, and I had some puffiness in my upper lids that's tightened up. My best friend commented on my skin and how much better it looks. Two of my friends told me since I gave my husband the boot I look 10 years younger. I think it's the cream. I have 2 scars on my face. One under my lower lip that I've had since I was 4. I had 12 stitches from a jumping on the furnature adventure. Needless to say that scar is pretty noticible. At first the cream turned it red, but now it just looks like it did before. Still not one of my big concerns. It never really bothered me. I had another scar on my face from a zit that I had about 5 years years ago. It looked like a sharp crease right in the middle of my forehead. Made me want to grow bangs. The cream has softened that up, and it doesn't looks as deep. It feels a lot smaller too, and I'm very happy with the results there. Like I said, I've been using it for 3 1/2 weeks and I hardly put a dent in the tube. I use it on my face, neck, upper chest, tops of boobs. I really like the stuff. K

From: Wenonae_ Sent: 6/23/2003 6:53 PM Karli, THANKS for updating board on your progress . That tube will prolly last you a year. It lasted me three months and I was really covering large areas. Seems like smaller marks aren't helped as much...thin pencil tip-thin, short marks. However, deep strech marks where lots of collagen are missing or where skin's lost elasticity or there are deep wrinkles (no elasticity)...it's EXCELLENT! K, enuf soapbox .

From: Lizzy Sent: 6/23/2003 11:44 PM I have stretch marks on my butt from growth during puberty, so they are easily 10+ years old. I started using Strivectin about a month ago, and it has really made a difference! I thought at first that is was my imagination, but my fiance just commented a few days ago that the skin feels a lot smoother and the stretch marks seem to be fading. (He said this without my prompting) I figure that it will probably take a couple of months for them to really fade (and I don't know if the cream will make them go away altogether), but I certainly have been happy with the results. I thought that I would just have to live with the unsightly marks, but I guess not! Baybee--Fawn suggests using Yohimburn to get rid of cellulite. The product can be found on www.anabolicfitness.net. I haven't tried it yet, but she has had good results from it. After I get rid of these stretch marks, then I'll tackle the cellulite!

Karli, Thanks for the testimonial. I could certainly use something like that. I am 43, have done too much tanning in my lifetime too. Nanette

From: warrior-girl Sent: 6/24/2003 3:07 AM Hi Karli, Thanks for sharing. I'm really impressed with your results! I have stretch marks on my boobs I'd like to minimise! But I could do with a good wrinkle cream too!!! I mean how many people will actually get close enough to my boobs to see the stretched bits!! Fudge

From: veryinterested Sent: 6/24/2003 10:29 AM Wen, Lizzy, and Karli I finally got my tube yesterday, I applied it twice already, I had a quick question for you guys, since you guys had success with it. I have stretch marks all over my butt and thighs, how much should I apply, I am worried that it wont last for atleast 6 weeks for me to see results, and I dont want to buy one more without checking the results. Can you please let me know how much to apply and how long it would last for me, again I need to use it on my butt and upper thighs. Thanks in advance

From: Lizzy Sent: 6/24/2003 11:04 AM Veryinterested, I put on just enough so that it absorbs very quickly. The tube says that Strivectin is a concentrated formula, so use sparingly. If I find myself rubbing and rubbing to get the lotion to absorb, then I know that I used too much. Also, don't forget to use it three times a day. Hope this helps! Lizzy

From: Wenonae_ Sent: 6/24/2003 1:07 PM Veryinterested, I used the equivalent of 5 pea sizes, twice a day (applied to the sides of my buttocks and all inner thighs, and back of knees). The tube lasted me just over 3 months. Start with a pea-sized amount and see how far you spread it. Add more accordingly
