Hey Gals:
I was thinking, yes once in awhile I still do that...
Anyway I was thinking about my puberty and all the information that I have gathered from the BE Boards.
For myself I remember at 12 asking my mother why I had fluid coming out of my nipples. (Of course she sort of avoided the question, she either didn't know or didn't want to talk about it).
So for me the trick is to keep up the massaging to keep the prolactin high.
At 15 I was 4'11"and grew to 5'5" in a year or two. That along with the BCP (and anerxious) stopped my breasts from growing any further. At 4'11" I looked fairly busty but by the time I finished growing in height I didn't, (I also keep myself overly thin).
Both my half sisters and mother were all very busty. But none of them starved themself or went on the BCP pill at such a young age.
So anyway without writing a book, I feel for some of us looking back to puberty may give us some insight to a more successful BE experience.

You know Hippychick, Fawn has touched on this possibility too. And I have often wondered what puberty had to do with us not growing boobs. Especially those of us that have buxom Mother's, or siblings.
In your case I would tend agree, that the BCP prolly did not help you, and possibly hindered. I didn't start sprouting until I was about 14 or 15. And like I was short, then hit my all time height of 5'4", but as a Freshman I was the shortest girl in the school and I graduated with a class of 300. My teen years were full of trauma though, which I wonder if it effected my growth all the way around. My parents were both ill, and my Mom especially was in and out of the hospital constantly. Add a few natural disasters in there over the few years of teenhood. And...well...pretty stressful teen years, not to mention, the usual teen trauma's (will he call, am I fat?, my world is ending....nobody likes me) Oh the joys of being a teen!
But I also believe body type has A LOT to do with it. How many tiny, thin women do you see with BIG BOOBS, other than implants. Aaaaah,....the great boobie mystery continues!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry Mominator, but I see lots of big breasted, skinny teenage girls these days and they are NOT implants. I think that bothers me more than anything....having to look at KIDS who are more womanly than I am. I try not to be jealous, but I am. Sixteen year old girls have more to flaunt than I do. M97

Oh I didn't say there aren't ANY, there are some, and I work with kidz everyday. Most of the skinny ones with BIG BOOBS, grow into them within a year or 2. Not that they get fat, but they get a "shape". Their hips and ribs expand, and as Hippychick said, they don't look nearly as chesty, once that happens. Their breasts also tend to be higher on their chest, then we "older" women. I do however, have a friend who is very "thin" and very "chesty" like a "EE". But that is rare. (yes I wonder how she walks straight!)
There is also a "rumor" a friend of mine was telling me that they believe that the teens of today tend to be chestier due to eating so much fast food. Could be...it's a theory. Dang...I knew there was a reason to eat out more! Gotta' tell hubby, we must EAT AT the four food groups, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, & White Castle...it's for the boobies! Ya' think he'll fall for it!

Hi Hippychick,
I think you are right,. As a teenager I used to be pretty sick all the time. I also had lots of baby fat when I was around 12 yrs and everyone used to tease me. So I used to diet heavily as a teenager, I ate no fatty stuff, i used to starve myself. So all these things and poor health I guess lead to no breasts. My Mom is very busty. She gained some after each kid and did not loose anything after breastfeeding, unlike me.
I agree that small breasts may be due to some mistakes that we made as a teenager. But I also feel that now that we are making right attempts to grow our breasts, they should grow.

I also definitely think puberty had something to do with it. I used to wear a bra ALL THE TIME, even when when I slept. I would wear tight sportsbras because I was such the tomboy then. I wish I had let my boobs breathe and grow back some years ago.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reply to : yadira_ I never wore a bra...didn't need one. On the other hand, my 13 year old wears a tight sports bra all the time and she is popping out of her bras and today as she was walking out of church, I wondered why she is showing all this real cleavage. Her upper chest was jiggling and it's obvious her breasts start from the center of her chest, unlike her mother's breasts.
She is a refined carb addict, too, and rarely eats meat unless it's taco meat or a hamburger. And I don't do fast food so those are few and far between. She is not by any means fat either. My older girl eats MUCH more healthfully and is fully developed and VERY small breasted like me.
I believe it's all in the genes, girls.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If it's all in the genes, then most of us are just wasting our time and money and effort on all this BE stuff. I believe there is probably a great deal of truth in that, or we would all be growing with these pills, and from what I can tell, most of us are not (or have not, for those like me who have tried this in the past). I don't know what the answers are. I do know it is frustrating trying to figure it out!!! M97

If it JUST genes, then why did the successes on this board, respond to the herbs/BO? There has to more to it. If it was just genes, those successes would have had BIG Boobs to begin with and not in need of BE.
There seems to be much more to it, I think Hippychick is on the right track. I think there is quite possibly something that could have caused a delay or retarded growth. I also wonder the following:
Foods eaten during puberty Lifestyle during puberty (was someone obsessed with boobage, upsetting family life, a sudden move) Genetics Personality type-Mommabean you said your 2nd daughter is getting quite large, your oldest is small...it has been studied that usually the 1st born is typically a TYPE A personality, kind of a worry wort, the 2nd child is usually much more happy go lucky. Hormonal imbalance from the very start -again caused by stress So what we need to investigate is...why do our successes respond? Is it genetics, is a hormonal balance, is personality, is it lifestyle? One thing common with several is when they started the BE train with the thought, if it works GREAT, if not...Oh well, at least I tried. I know Fawn has touched on this subject also! Or is it a conglomeration of ALL, plus more!

I think it is a conglomeration of all. I was under a lot stress in my pre teens and teens. I also used to get a lot of anxiety attacks. Stress depletes your progesterone. ( SO I was told) Since I'm on progesterone I do not break out in hives or have anxietty attacks like I use to. So I believe my hormones were messed up right from the start.

I don't think it is JUST genetics. But, I think that genetics is one of the biggest players during puberty. I also think that that is why no ONE formula works for every woman in BE. Every woman must overcome/circumvent the "messages" genetics provides to the body and find her own personal routine for growth. Genetics is the greatest reason why all of us have different hormonal and metabolic profiles to begin with. Once you figure out how to work "around" your own genetic profile for growth, you will achieve that growth. But, everything starts with the genes. ANd everyone's genes are different. That's why I know this effort will probably be a lot of trial and error. That's why new members who jump on Pammy's routine (or others) may not grow at all, even though it worked for Pammy. Her body is different than everyone else's. And I DO believe that everyone can achieve growth if they find the right combination for their own body. BUUUT, not everyone will find that right combination, and I think most of the people of the other board did not/ have not found the right combination yet and so are unsuccessful. I think all of us would be "fast responders" if we took the exact right combination from the very beginning. That just doesn't happen very often.

M97,
I agree with you. That's why the tests provided on this board for hormonal balance seem to be VERY helpful. Not very scientific as I have said before, but they do lend an idea of "tweaking". And other factors seem to be an issue too, which prolly all point back to hormones.
Darn hormones! Why can't we all have the same hormone make-up!

My idea regarding the puberty topic is that if we can think back to the time we started to develop till the time we finished - what was happening with our bodies?
How were your periods? How much stress was in your life? Did you really want to develop breasts and become a woman or stay a little girl?
On key may be to talk to some senior ladies - some that are small breasted and some that are large breasted.
Of course I believe it goes without saying that we were not all meant to have E cups, however it maybe that something during your puberty halted your full breast development.
From the time I started my period at age 12 until 16 when I started the BCP I had extremely bad periods and I do mean extremely bad (weeks sometimes with very heavy flows). I remember at age 16 being so thin and no one believing that I could have cellulite on my thighs being that thin (but I did). Anyway the point of this info that I am sharing is that I had a very bad hormonal problem along with many other problems that halted my growth.
It would be interesting if someone that has been successful with BE (Pammy?), and sisters that they could compare notes with.
I personally have 2 half sisters - 1 very busty that had endo surgery at 16 and 1 very busty that had a breast reduction at 16. (ages close as my memory serves). Now if either of them had starved themselves or had the same growth pattern (with my height that is) would they have grown their large breasts?
Where I am trying to go here is - just try to remember your puberty and from that info you maybe able to return your body hormonal situation and finish your breast growth.
Geez I hope I am making sense here, I am tired (teenaged again). But I am just trying to maybe help some of the girls have success like I have had and am having.
Growth to y'all

I do agree that looking back to puberty can help - but I don't think it helps me much - I started my periods age 9 and by 12 they were completely stabilised, and my height & breasts have been pretty much stable ever since. I had a couple of years of being the tallest kid in the class and the only one with breasts! - but then of course, everyone else overtook me....
NO idea why they started so early - I was (and stayed) a skinny little thing & certainly not mentally "mature enough". I've wondered since whether my negative attitude towards growing up (being told "now you're a woman" at nine years old, having boys tease me & grope me when I honestly had no idea about sex or anything else!) affected my breast growth?
I've been on BE nearly 4 months now, and am sloowly growing. Since my pubertal growth stopped at 12 1/2 I'm trying to keep myself cheerful by saying "well, i'm 36 but my breasts aren't even 13 yet!"
What I've been wanting to ask anyone on the board who did grow normally at puberty is - how long did it take? We read about at the amazing success stories of the quick growers who do a cup size in 3 months - but when you were a teenager, how long did it take for your breasts to fill out? A year or two? - or was it quicker?

Actually my older daughter is very relaxed and easy going. She's always been content and happy since being a baby. She goes with the flow.
The younger one has been a demanding whiny worry wort her whole life. She looks for things to worry about. I finally have to just tell her to "just be quiet...not another word out of you." She wants to do what she wants to do when she wants to do it, right down to her homework. It's as if nothing can wait for even a few minutes with her. And she isn't impressed with boobs which is why she prefers tight sports bras. And then they come popping out of the top. She drives me crazy with her attitude. And she has genes from my husbands side obviously.
