Hi Everyone, All my life I have got water retention before my periods. This water retention takes place in the whole mid section (waist, stomach, buttocks and things), except the breasts.
I wonder if this suggests anything about hormones in my system. Can you suggest soemthing.
Thanks Mansi

Mansi,
Do you WANT water retention in your breasts...or do you just not want to retain much water anywhere.
If that's the case, you can drink lemon laced water (read that in Cosmo in rgds to model tips ;D) which will help your body lose water. Also, I was a HUGE fan of Diurex diuretic pills (available at any Walgreens) which seriously help keep water out of the body and very effectively takes away bloat.

Hi Wen,
I want to know whether this water retention before periods explain anything like being estrogen dominant or estrogen deficient or something like that.
I mean does this water retention before periods tells us anything about the hormonal situation of a person or this is something very normal?
Thanks Mansi

Seems to be normal, Mansi.
USUALLY it means estrogen dominance, but it's not 100%, so I would not put too much stock in that.
