For about 5 weeks, I have been taking the following: BO (3x600mg) EPO (3x1000mg) Fish oil concentrate (3x 1000mg) Saw palmetto (I've only just got up to about 5g split over 4 doses) Measurements at different times in my cycle: Day 1: 32.5" (29" under bust) Day 5: 32.0" Day 14: 31.75" Day 24 (today): 31.75" So, I seem to be shrinking! I realize that I probably had water retention on Day 1, but I thought that should've gone by Day 5?? Also, I had mild, internittent soreness from Day 9 to Day 20, but now (Day 24) nothing at all, which I don't understand. To top it all, for the last 2 days, I have been very tired and depressed for no reason. Any thoughts?? Sharon.

Hi Sharon, I had a scare like this too. The fact is you are prolly not shrinking in your breasts. But...your back could be loosing water, muscle tone, changing....it happens a lot! When I measure I measure just my breast, because quite frankly, I have a hell of time making sure the tape is in the same place all the time, and I have lost a lot of inches from my underbust and back. If you are uncomfortable with the diameter of the boob straight across the nipple, then when you measure measure bust, underbust, & above bust. This should tell you if your back is actually doing the loosing here.; Another thing, I have noticed I tend to shrink a bit, just before I sprout, and I also get the nasties! So...one of these could be the explanation. Do the diameter breast only measurement. And the upper bust, see what you get! The upper bust should measure your band size. i.e. my upper is 33, I wear a 34 on the smallest hook. It works for me EVERYTIME! When I first started on this board my underbust was 32.5, now it's down to 30. So that shows you how much a back, and back fat can change.

Tired and depressed?
Sounds like PMS - also sounds like the BO might be affecting your thyroid. Better check your temps for a couple of days.
Give it three months before freaking. I've seen my measurements change as much as an inch in 12 hours, so either measure only monthly, or measure several times a day (and you'll see what kind of a difference just a few hours can make, and how they change from day to day).

Thanks Mominator and Fawn for your replies, I will do some more measurements to get more of an idea.
In my post, I mentioned that my soreness was there (mild only) from Day 9 to Day 20, but then disppeared. Now I am Day 26, and still no soreness. Has anyone else experienced this? I would have expected the sorenes to increase until the end.

Hey Sharon, That sounds wonderful! Okay...strange that we like soreness. But since it didn't increase during the luteal phase, tells me it's more than likely growth. Maybe not measureable, but growth. The reason you experience pain in the luteal phase, is water retention from high estrogen. If you have a "test" bra, now would be the time to utilize it. Remember growth can be filling...which is not very measurable. ;D

Wow, thanks Mominator for the encouragement!!
You're right, it is strange that we want to be sore! I still don't really understand though why the soreness has disappeared. Just have to wait and see what happens. It's difficult being patient isn't it!
Sharon.

Also, keep in mind that during luteal, ur progesterone levels rise..then drop about two days before AF reallys rears her head. So that would explain why the aches left about Day 20.
When AF comes, wouldn't be too surprised things start back up. Totally agree with Momi...you've got good action going on, at the right times.

So, if progesterone is increasing towards the end of the cycle and that is why the soreness disappeared, then I wonder if, next time. I should take a progesterone blocker in the last half of the cycle?

That was fast Mominator - we are online at the same time! I've actually just been reading some other posts, and found that I need Damiana (because I am on BO) on Days 15-30. Haven't worked out the dose or where to buy yet, but I'll go and do some more reading.....
