I take Naproxen once a month to help ease PMS and reduce period pains. Usually, I just take one or two pills (500 mg). The warning label says that I should not take any "monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI)." The same label is on Robitusson etc. Does anyone know if any of the BE drugs contain MAOI? Saw Palmetto, Wild Yam, Fennel, Fenugreek etc. Thanks!!

Hi there, AsianGal.
I don't THINK there's a mix of ingredients....I'll tell u from my experience using Alleve-like substances is a mainstay, and I've had no interference using it and having a successful BE program.
Hope that helps!

No. You're okay. MAO inhibitors are a type of antidepressant/antipsychotic, are by prescription only, and you would KNOW if you were on them. There are several classes of anti-depressants, the most common being triclyclics, SSRI's and MAOI's. MAOI's seem to be the less commonly used, SSRI's seem to be the most common. Here's a chart for anyone curious: www.muskegon-isd.k12.mi.us/spec_ed/behavior/Medications.pdf
