When I was in college, I hated it when a professor told the class that "Their are no stupid questions."
First of all, if you do ask a rather foolish question, the professor is only human. He/she will judge you and may suspect that your not to bright.
And even if the professor doesn't begin to believe your foolish for asking a stupid question, many of the other students certainly will. Furthermore, some of them won't be shy and will chuckle after asking a foolish question.
So to teachers and professors, please, I'm not buying it when you say 'Their are no stupid questions.'
