Usually, I hate it when I sit down on the couch and watch a sit-com for the purpose of getting some laughs, and instead the comedy I'm watching tries to mix humor with serious scenes. I don't want to see serious drama, I want to laugh!
However, the exception for me is the sit-com 'Roseanne.' Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, and others were perfect as the typical blue collar family. They were natural, true-to-life, talented, and humorous in my opinion.
They often had serious scenes on this show. And I liked it because the stories were realistic. They also rarely solved the problems the characters had within thirty minutes, unlike most other shows in which everything is wonderful in the end.
