Hi everyone, I wonder if it is true , but I feel that I am soemhow much more energetic since I am not on BE. I mean when I was taking all those pills, I somehow used to feel very very lathargic, I never had enough strenght to exercise at all and I could never ever exercise, was always too tired for it. But Since I am off the BE train, I am much more full of energy and I can exercise properly. Why is it so? Is is really possible or I am just feeling that way? Is it possible that hormones make you feel tired and exhausted??

Hey Mansi, Omg, I just started BE and I feel like my energy level went down so much! I'm ALWAYS tired and sleepy... it's pretty bad. Sometimes I feel like I'm sleepwalking.

Mansi, Hormones DEFINATELY can make you feel tired and worn out. Most especially excess estrogen. Which you were prolly already high in since having a baby. Glad to hear your energy is back! Recover! Enjoy! And if you feel like trying BE again...your body will be better prepared and your hormones will be in better shape for it. Not to mention your own physical body will be in GREAT SHAPE! Enjoy your break Mansi!

High levels of estrogen can cause fatigue because it effects (lowers) your thyroid hormone levels. I don't recall the exact mechanism.
I like using tyrosine to improve thyroid.
Momi's been using tyrosine too - maybe she has something to add.

Yes Mansi,
How true. I felt the exact same way on herbs and BO. And I felt somewhat depressed. I wasn't sure if it was the hormonal effect or maybe just feeling depressed over lack of results. I think it was sort of like wanting to fall asleep and wake up with some boobs.
I stuck with it a long time AND took tyrosine all the while and when I gave up BE I suddenly felt more alive. I thought it might have just been not looking for my boobs to grow which gave me more energy. I gotta admit that constantly looking for growth or some sign is very emotionally draining. I tried to stay hopeful and upbeat about it though all throughout the process.
But here I am back where I started. Only feeling alive and not feeling like I'm being dragged through a wringer. Maybe it was just hormones all along.

Hi Fawn, If higher levels of estrogen effects thyroid which causes fatigue right? So how to determine if thyroid is the cause? Are temperatures again an indication of proper thyroid?
Would you recommend me taking tyrosin?? (when I start with BO)??
Thanks Mansi

Mansi, I was taking tyrosine for about 4 months along with shakes. I've since stopped..why, trying to cut down on things I have to take. I didn't see any change in energy or breast size...I was feeling a bit energy deprived, however, I just upped my workouts and started eating more protein, and I'm fine now. I don't need naps during the day anymore. It probably helps that I make sure I get 7-8 hours of rest, too, and take my larger doses during latter half of day before dinner and just before going to bed. I'd say, take BO..if energy becomes a prob..make sure ur not comsuming a heavy carb diet...get ur blood moving with light excercises...still nothing...try L-Tyro. I'm a proponent of only what's necessary...let ur body do it's best before taking some other pill Something to chew on.

Mansi, The only tried and true method of somewhat knowing if you are hypothyroid is taking daily body temps. You need a digital or basal thermometer, take your temps in the morning before moving much. I keep my therm on my bedstand next to my bed, reach over throw it under my pit and sleep until it rings! ;D If your temps are under 97.3 consistently, then you should prolly start on L-Tyrosine, 500mg to start for 3-5 days, then you can go up another 500mg...if needed. Remember your temp will be higher in the luteal stage and lower in the follicle. Just to give you a clue...my temps were 95.2 when I started L-Tyrosine! I am on 1500 mg, I average 97.2. Thinkin' about maxing to 2g or try coconut oil. So..that's the skinny on L-Tyrosine. Yes I felt much more ALIVE when I started it. I also shed a LOT of water! My underbust was 32.5, now down to 30. Didn't loose boobage either! L-tyrosine is NOT sumptin' to mess with..if you don't need it..I would not recommend taking it. I more than likely had hypothyroidism prior to BE btw. I just didn't know it! Most people with a hypothyroid are heavy, I never really was, so it never occured to me. Both my parents were hypothyroid. There are several sites on this condition...just google "hypothyroid", find all sorts of stuff! (it does increase dopamine) Okay...Book done! I am sure Fawn or some one can add another chapter!

Well, this brings up a new problemo for me here. I had my thyroid destroyed 10 years ago because it was overactive ( I could paint an entire house in an hour and then do the next door neighbor's too!) Anyway, I have been on 88mg synthroid ever since then, take a yearly blood test to make sure my levels are in the normal range, but now I'm worried that the herbs I'm taking are interfering with these levels and making me a goony bird. How safe is it to take BE herbs while on thyroid medication?

Beau,
That's something you will have to determine..if the above's an indicator, you can expect to 'slow down' while on BE.
Titrate slowly and observe changes, my guess is that you won't need to change your thyroid med dose..so just start sensibly...see what happens.
U may in a better boat since ur thyroid naturally has u being more hyper...will keep that testosterone aromatizing to estrogen better than most.
