I'm thinking of buying one of those vibrational plates on tv (there is so much hype that I'm actually believing this stuff) I want it mostly to eliminate belly fat once and for all, eliminate cellulite and maybe get leaner legs. There is only one problem/question: does it affect the breast size? I don't want to loose weight but only tone up my body. I'm a bit curvy and I really don't want to end up skinny like I used to be and loose breast-fat. There are 2 machines to choose from: 1. Oscillating (moves like a see saw, from what I read) 2. Tri-Planar (moves in all directions, whatever this means, seems to have higher vibrations than the oscillating one) I don't know which one to avoid/choose. The most important thing for me is NOT TO LOOSE BREAST FAT. So Girls, have you had any experience with these machines? Any thoughts are always appreciated Thanks!

Hi Eternalsky Personally, I wouldn't spend a lot of money on machines like the ones you are talking about... Sure.. massage can help with cellulite and toning.. but basic exercises, done with minimal or no equipment and a healthy diet (with plenty of water) will always beat the results hands down. Save your money and pay for a series of lower leg massages once you get your exercise routine and heaps of water working for you. I have had a Total Gym for a while.. not to lose weight... but to tone and strengthen.. but even when i had it set up permanently.. I hardly used it and opted for my exercise ball instead... you can do so many exercises on an exercise ball and get the benefit of the targeted exercise as well as core strengthening (which strengthens the back and helps to eliminate back trouble and bad posture as well). Check this link out : www.howdini.com/howdini-video-6676124.htmlLunges are one of the best ways to sculpt and tone the legs.. along with walking... and .. use the power of your mind whilst doing your exercises by focusing your mind on the area you are exercising and the result you want.... it works like visualization. I've heard massaging ground coffee beans (after you've used them in a peculator or the like) into cellulite (with a bit of oil) also helps to move the cellulite.. not sure why. Chai (Chia?) Seeds... used in salads, in protein shakes or on your cereal are also a great way to reduce unwanted fats... whilst giving you a huge dose of Omegas (apparently more than Salmon!). There are lots of other ways to help... and I'm happy to share more but mindful of the fact that I can get a bit too "verbose" when i start writing... so trying to practice keeping things brief. All the best with it.

Hi rare1! Thanks for the reply The things is that for many many years I had been doing martial arts and vigorous exercises for many hours a week and I still had the belly and cellulite. I eat fats and refined foods very rarely so I really can't understand why I still have the same problem. Usually I don't believe in machines but since I did not see any results with exercise and diet I thought maybe vibrational plates would work. I'll try the visualization and the coffee beans though. Also, thanks for the article!

Hello again Eternalsky
From what you've said, perhaps massage is the next step in helping to budge the dreaded cellulite. When I read your reply I was thinking... what would cause someone who is eating right, drinking loads of water and exercising to retain cellulite.. and ... I'm no expert and could be way off the mark.. but I wondered if a lymphatic drainage massage would help to get things going then regular massage, whether by the vibrational plates or through a masseur would aid in reducing the problem?
Perhaps google what the benefits are of Chai Seeds for weight loss and cellulite.
Hope you find something that works.. and definitely let us know when you have. Until I injured my ankle recently I was doing a lot of lunges and then started on the exercises featured in the "howdini" link I sent you above... I certainly have a lot more tone but still bits of cellulite and because I don't sunbake... the skin is very pale which doesn't do the best to disguise it.
I also did a few massages with chai seeds, sugar, peppermint oil and olive oil (peppermint just for it's lovely warm/cold effect and smell) and found it improved the appearance.. Very messy and I'm not sure to this day if it was the massage or what I used to do it that made the difference....
Body brushing (to get lymph circulating) before a shower is another thing I've heard of to help the appearance of cellulite. Most of the body brushes have hard rubber nobules/nipples on the back of them that you can use to massage the area after brushing as well to break up the fatty deposits that cause cellulite.
Good luck with it.
