Hi everyone! I was just wondering how many people still take the protein shakes and how important they really are to BE? I have a hard time fitting them in. Somedays I just don't. Is this holding me back? Thanks for any input? Colleen

Hi Colleen, You know...I never did protein shakes with herbal BE. When I was on HBA, they did say some people were taking them to help push things along faster, not sure it really helped though. I am a BIG time MEAT eater! And proud of it, so I get plenty of protein in my meals. I suppose if you are vegetarian then the shakes would be pretty important. But the average "meat" eater, should be getting plenty of protein in their daily diet. Just my 2 cents. Eggs are also excellent for BE;) Fawn can further explain that one!

Colleen,
If you are doing BO and not getting results after three months - it may be that you are not getting enough protein. A minimum of 60 grams of protein is recommended, and 80-100 is probably better.
I normally eat high protein anyway, so when I did BO I didn't bother much with extra shakes, since I was using them for snacks and meal replacements anyway about 4-5 times per week.
Eggs are good because they contain all the essential amino acids, and are a "complete protein".
If you can't get in a good 80-120 grams of protein per day, then you should add shakes. Just use low carbohydrate (no sugar) ones and avoid soy protein.

Thanks for the advice. I am not doing BO. I am using herbs. I guess it is still important to get enough protein? I am not a big meat eater but I do like eggs and I will try to fit the shakes in more often. Do you think it is okay to eat eggs everyday?
Thanks,
Colleen

And Momi's a really good grower, too....hmmm, that's food for thought for those on herbs...seems everyone needs those building blocks.
