As above, just curious as to what type of item every one uses? I am not sure what item i should use i've tried using many but all rate at a 7 or lower. I want to buy one, like a crystal as it is heavy and the answers would be easier to read, but in the e book it states that crystals are not so good to use, and im nervous that after bought it may not even rate high enough.
So i'm just curious as to what kind of items everyone uses, and what it rates for you?

Hi Rachel, I use my grandmothers gold wedding band and my brothers silver chain. Both relatives are in spirit. My P rates a 10. Maybe you should go to a rock/gem store or some place along that line to see what "speaks" or feels right to you. Good luck on your P quest! Lisa  |

I use a glass bead necklace which rates around a 9 or more (haven't bothered to calibrate properly!). Before that, I used a silver chain with a pendant which rated a 9. I've tried other things, mainly necklaces of one kind or another. I did recently try a silver chain with a crystal but this didn't rate highly. Try experimenting with necklaces you already have - or even a favourite ring on a piece of thread. A key on a piece of string will work too - it's just a case of trying stuff out. Good luck!

I use a silver ring on a thread. The ring has never been used by anyone other than me and it's rating is a 10. It's a very simple zig zag that cost $15.

I use a cheapy Wal-Mart chained with fake charm necklace I thought was so 'cute' about 6 years ago. I never wore it much. It cost me about $4. It calibrate only 7.8 when I started, but as I practiced dowsing more, it rates now a 9.4. The charm is small and the chain is thin.

Thanks for your replies, it gives me an idea of what to use. I fiddled around with various items like a long metal earing, different rings with different chains they all rated below 7 but one ring on a piece of thread that i got from my friend rated an 8 which is good for now. Hopefully it will rate higher as i keep using it like wens. Thanks for the help!

Hi everyone!How u bee? Ok i'm very confused with the dowsing & the rating & stuff.First of all how do u rate a pendulum??  How do i know which works for me?I've been using a silver ring that i wear everyday tied to a thread.The first day we really seemed to connect..i mean the p & i..I could feel the movements were on its own.But after that there's been absolutely nothing.It jus swings around all the time or stays still.How do i rate my p to se if it'll work?i'm cleuless how to go about this..  |

If it doesn't work at all, you can't rate it. You need yes,no indications. You're better off trying another p that gives u a yes, no. Rate it then. A lot of info abt rating is in the e-book. Bascially, u say where 10 is best, how does this p relate to me? more than 6 (yes or no), more than 7 etc. Wen' |

Just wanted to tell you what I use as a p at the moment. A big brown plastic button on sewing thread! It rates 8,4! Not bad I think. I love that funny button and I think that's why I feel better about dowsing now than last year, when I was using a necklace that I wasn't very fond of and some other things I had no "special relations" to.

At first I used my wedding ring then I used a hoop earring on a thread and I now use body dowsing (with a 95% for accurate results/reading) although I just purchased a crystal pendulum yesterday. It was only 13.95  with 6.95 s+h so 20.90 was the total price... My thumb gets real tired with body dowsing and I just personally prefer a p  |
