Girls I have some tips for fighting awful stretch marks!I suffer from them since I was 12 because of rapid height growth .For the past 6 years they looked really awful ;purple and white , deep in my inner thighs and behind knees I couldn't go to the sea,but now even my boyfriend didn't notice; only after 8 months he discovered their existence and he doesn't bother at all because they are hardly noticeable!I bet if he had seen them before my routine he would be shocked(believe me they were awful,I looked as if I was 70 years old!Now the only thing you can notice is some normal restricted stretch marks all women even supermodels have and this only if you try to see them from very close!)You have got to start a routine as you do for breast enlargement! Apply a good stretch marks cream in the morning and before bed and insist on massaging until it is totally absorbed.A very good cheap one is Percutalfa from pierre fabre(it did miracles on me!) and the best is strivectin SD but enough expensive(I will try it on spring to be completely ready for summer bikinis!hehe!).Every day in the shower you should brush them with a loofah (this will be also good for reducing cellulite and thigh fat) and then apply vitamin E oil or if you don't have apply olive oil but it is very important to INSIST ON MASSAGING!For prevention rub olive oil to the whole body and especially in areas where stretch marks appear. Once a month you must do exfoliation with AHAS(l'oreal has a good and cheap one).Last but not least add zinc, vitamin E or cod liver oil supplements to your diet!Believe me you can see MIRACLES about 4 weeks after you start. You can even wear shorts and hot mini skirts, and if you don't want anything to be seen apply some make up but I guarantee you that the stretch marks will be so slightly noticed you won't have to do that! Moreover you will get a SUPER silk ,cool and soft skin that you are going to love it! DON'T FORGET you must do this routine every day for as long as you want your stretch marks less noticeable. If you stop ,it is very possible the will start appearing again!

THANKS!!!!! i'm suffering stretchmarks on my buns too, and I'll try your method. Hope it'll work. Do you think Palmer's cocoa butter for stretchmarks is a good stretchmark cream?

i have stretch marks on my tummy from 2 pregnancies. i tried every oil and lotion available to prevent stretch marks, but i was so small and my tummy got so big that nothing could stop the stretch marks. i have recently started using emu oil on my tummy and i have also been exfoliating in the shower. i take zinc and EPO regularly and keep well moisturised. i would like to try something like strivectin, but i am worried about whether they might lighten black skin. i am not sure about how those creams work, but i wouldnt want anything with a bleaching effect.

so glad to see something about this topic... my bum has had terrible stretchmarks since puberty- my partner nicknamed me "tiger bum" although he swears he loves it.. yea right. But I've always hated them, and am also worried about the bleaching effect on my skin... does anyone know whether there is a bleaching effect?

Avon has a new product out that purportedly helps with cellulite and stretch marks. It is called Super Shape Anti-Cellulite and Stretch Mark Cream and sells for $16.50 for a 6.7 oz. tube.

Hello all, I plan on giving this cream a try and will let you know how well it works for me. I have tried Yohimburn in the past and it worked somewhat but not as well as I had hoped.

hey happeetooth, i use palmer's stretch mark massage cream and it seems to be doing the job, i've got them allover my lower back, which sucks coz i haven't put on/lost weight, a friend recommended palmers to me-works best as a preventative measure but it does help fade them so they're silvery, not red, hope everyone finds something that works! x

puppy - what is AHAS? :
Once a month you must do exfoliation with AHAS(l'oreal has a good and cheap one.
I have stretch marks from gaining so much weight with my 1st pregnancy (60lbs), I don't care as much about the ones on my stomach but I have them on the front top of my legs - old and whiteish and super noticeable that even though I'm thin enough, I have to wear one of those skirted bathing suits. So my question is, does this work on old, white ish or silvery stretchmarks? I tried a copy of Str Vectin that I bought at Vitamin World for $50 and used it 2 x's a day for a month and returned it cuz it did nothing at all.

Hi Stilltrying, I thought I would answer since we are both currently online. AHAs are Alpha Hydroxy Acids. What they do is exfoliate the skin - "They cause the cells of the epidermis to become "unglued" allowing the dead skin cells to slough off, making room for regrowth of new skin. Alpha hydroxy acids may even stimulate the production of collagen and elastin". Take care

Hi!I have been away for a while. After further research that I have made I found out that exfoliation and taking supplements play a significant role with fading stretch marks, making them smaller and not as deep,as well as prevent them.So I started a new routine: supplements 600iu of vit.E/day 300mgs pantothenic acid(B5)/day 30mgs zinc/day 300mgs vit.C/day
-I use loofah in the shower for body brushing -for prevention I rub olive oil or baby oil after shower all over my body -before bed I rub to the stretch marks a collagen/elastin cream with deep circular movements -Once a month I scrub with AHAs(alpha hydroxy acids helping with skin renewal)
With this new routine my stretch marks have almost disappeared!(I say almost because they can't be totally disappeared, but I would say that I have noticed about a 95% improvement.Depending on the lighting they can appear from little thin lines to completely invisible!)
Why don't you try this routine and tell if it's working for you too?

I forgot to say that for prevention you can use cocoa butter all over your body.If you want to use it for fading old stretch marks too use it after dry skin brushing with a loofah on the stretch marks .To see results on already existing stretch marks with cocoa butter you must be consistent and wait at least a month to see some improvement .Ladies if you want to ask sth more please go ahead as I have read the book on stretch marks! For many years I couldn't wear skirts or a bathing suit because they were really awful and they would catch anyone's eye because they were purple and I have very fair skin.
Now I am really free to wear whatever I want and I have even made a fashion photoshoot wearing a bikini without even concealing them with makeup !(I always wanted to model but I couldn't because of them! Now I can!)In fact even my agent has never told me anything about them!I am talking about a BIG improvement!I don't know if your own stretch marks are as awful as they were once mine!
Please try my routine as I am sure that you are all going to see at least some improvement!
