Hi all,
I was just wondering if you take your alfalfa with meals or without? I have been taking mine with meals.
Thanks,
Colleen

(oops, I think I PM'd you this by mistake as well, sowwy ) I take mine right when I get up (which is at least an hour before eating) and right before bed (which is a couple hours after eating). I've read on the t-tapp site that some will take alfalfa if they've had too many carbs (I believe I read that from Teresa herself, somewhere in the article archives) to help ward off excess water retention. I guess it's possible it could go both ways, with and without food. I could find the link again if you need me to, kay? pammy

I asked the women in the T-TAPP chat room and they told me to take the alfalfa with food cause it is a food. Fawn what do you think? Should the alfalfa be taken on and empty stomach or full? Barbara

Hi Ladies, I would think that if it is food then you could have it with or without meals. Oh, a few things I know about alfalfa. When I was growing up, we had a horse ranch in Colorado. Well, we grew alfalfa to feed the horses in the winter. Alfalfa is a very dense nutritional sourse. It is very green which makes it especially good for you. Of course, the alfalfa that is in Teresa's capsules is a special variety of alfalfa and is completely organic without any chemicals or sprays being used on the crops (we had good soil on our land and we didn't have to spray either because of this). I will also say that any green leafy edible thing like alfalfa, romaine lettuce, cilantro, green onions, and even broccoli and cucumbers are very good for your system because it alkalizes your body. When we eat a lot of cooked foods and meat and dairy our body becomes more acidic which is harder in this state for your organs to eliminate toxins. Eating a lot of raw, green things with your cooked meals will help to make you digest everything better and keep your body more alkaline which is what you want. Plus the fiber in these foods will help you eliminate better-- less constipation. Plus, green things are very high in minerals which we need for booby growth . Hope this helps some. I am sure Fawn will show us once again how amazingly wise she is when she gets the chance . I would love to know already half of what she knows. Katrina

Sorry it took so long for me to reply to this one!
Anyway - yes take the BBB alfalfa with food because as stated it is a food, not a medicine.
However Pammy - it's okay to take on an empty stomach as well (because it's a food).
Herbal medicines should be taken on an empty stomach to prevent fat & fiber from meals (as well as any other components of seasonings or plant food) from competing with the medicine.
But the alfalfa can be taken either way, because it's a food.
I hope that was "wise" enough. ;D

Sorry if I just missed it but since I'm sort of new here, why is alfalfa good to take? Should I add that to my routine? Does it get rid of excess water? (in that case it probably would be good for me ) Just curious on this!! Sorry again if it is posted somewhere, just can't find it. Also what does grape fruit oil do for yall? (sorry for the yall but I am from Texas

girlie, This thread is non-BE related, so I wouldn't worry too much about the alfalfa & grapefruit oil. However, if you are curious - look at the T-Tapp website at www.t-tapp.comFawn

Hello Everyone, I took a whole bottle of alfalfa and I did see quite an improvement on my water retention that I have had since I was a kid . I feel more stable on it too as I have a tendency towards hypoglygemia at times. I think it has helped me so much that I just got done buying 4 more bottles! Unfortunately you just missed the big sale that ended yesterday sorry. I bought the grapefruit oil and dead sea salts too. I'll let you know how they go. I haven't received the order yet. :-[Katrina
