Shakira what has changed your mind about phytoestrogens and breast cancer and you started the herbal routine?I am asking because I am new and have the same concerns about cancer as you had.Did you find anything proving that phytoestrogens are safe in dosages needed for BE?

Hey Puppy,I just saw your post!As you already read I'm trying to keep my self as healthy as I can coz herbs by themselves don't cause cancer, they need a little"help".Take breaks too, don't let yourself get overloaded with phytos.Take good care of yourself and everything is gonna be fine!

Hi puppy and shakira, I totally understand your concern and worry about breast cancer. I went out today and bought my first bottle of fenugreek tablets and I was going to start BE today but after reading this post it's made me really worried lol. However I've just been reading through a website about phytoestrogenic cancer and it says that a lifetime exposure to estrogen can increase the risk of breast cancer. (http://envirocancer.cornell.edu/FactSheet/General/fs10.estrogen.cfm - it says about it in the conclusion at the bottom). The average longest time for BE is about 6 months right? So surely it can't be that dangerous as it's only for a short period in your life?

If you want the accepted medical view on phytoestrogens role in cancer, I doubt you'll get one since they can't even agree on whether oral contraceptives play a role in cancer... the only thing that they *might* agree on is that women who have a family history of cancer should stay away from oral contraceptives.
This is what I was taught in medical school anyway.
