Thought I'd remove this post from Gripes and place here. It seemed to good too lose in the clutter. Besides, the substitution works really well for me too.
from pixie: i will lol though i think i eat too much refined sugar like chcocolate lol i need something to stop me eating it i have no darn willpower when it come to that stuff
from fawn: Try magnesium. If you are craving chocolate - you need magnesium. If you are just craving sweets, try adding more protein.

Hi pixie, Off hand I don't know which foods to recommend as I take magnesium supplements with my meals. I find them more convenient, available and relatively inexpensive.

I've put on weight because i'm constantly craving junk food omg it sooo horrible and i dont know how to stop Good thing is when you stop BE, the weight should come right off (within a couple of months). Magnesium supplements are at any pharmacy or health food store. Also, the higher the rating of an object, the less side effects (re: weight gain, gas, etc.) you should have. Be sure to make sure you have as good of progesterone cream as you can get. Wen'

Check out almonds they may be good for you. Since I cut out sugar and dowse what I eat I have grown. Herbs alone I did not grow from. I also ask if there is anything missing at the end of the night. (Protein, herbs or vitamins) I can not believe all the money I flushed down the toilet since sugar was and is the culprit that has hindered my growth from using the herbs. If I cut out sugar 5 years ago I would have had no problems

pixie, With regard to the junk food, I understand the problem as I've had it for a lot of years. Chocolate especially is my weakness. One of the operative factors here is also habit. Junk food is always available so I suggest you make healthy food equally as available. Sugar is very habit forming and for me has to be totally cut out-no honey either. Fruits have been my substitute lately. Also, how much water are you drinking? If you take some magnesium, eat more protein and increase your activity both mentally and physically you should begin to see a reduction in the cravings. Keep in mind that many people also have sugar and salt cravings just before and during their periods.

When I workout first thing in the morning its motivation for me to stay on track the rest of the day cause I don't want to mess up a good start.
