Hi All!!
A couple of ladies on a different thread had mentioned doing cleanses and suggested starting a new thread on this topic. I am taking the liberty of doing so because it is such a great topic.I have been putting off start BE because I wanted to cleanse in hopes of enhancing the whole BE experience. I figure that if the body is functioning optimally then hopefully the herbs I have chosen will be metabolized more effectively. I also wanted to do the cleanses for other health benefits:
1)to feel better(physically and mentally) 2)clearer and younger skin 3)help get rid of cellulite 4)lose a few pounds(especially my belly pooch) 5)to help with some medical conditions that I have
I started with the p&b shakes (Phsyllium & bentonite)slowly and worked up to four shakes a day but ended up overloading myself with to much fiber.CONSTIPATION!! I decided to try something a little more drastic so I tried the Master Cleanse.(or the lemonade diet)This consisted of drinking maple syrup sweetened lemon water accompanied by daily salt water flushes.I was going to try it for at least a week but I wimped out after only three days. I ended up switching to a juice fast on the forth day and did much better with that. I did a total of 9 days and lost 8 lbs(gained a couple back, water weight I think)I feel great, skin looks tons better, lost about 75% of my pooch but still no flat stomach, and cellulite is much better.I have been body brushing for a few months too.I no longer have my diet mountain dew caffeine addiction and haven't had a drop since my cleanse. I am a huge fan of the curezone website and encourage everybody to check it out if you haven't already. Go to the image gallery and look at all the pictures of the freakish stuff that is harbored in our bodies--parasites,liver and gallstones, and that disgusting mucoid plaque. These pictures are what gave me the motivation to cleanse.
The only downpoint to this cleanse is that the quick weight loss caused a loss in some of my breast tissue.I feel like I lost a lot of the small gain I had made when I used Brava.I use Brava for seventeen weeks and undid all that hard work in only 9 days.VERY DEPRESSING!I plan on doing a liver cleanse this weekend(Hulda Clark style) and then starting BE soon after.
Anybody out there doing intensive cleanses while doing BE??I feel like I need to do more cleansing but I am anxious to get started on BE.I have a feeling that the two won't mix very well.

Hello! I also wanted to detox & try to lose some weight before starting back up on NBE so I did the Master cleanse. Started once, went 4 days, my mom said she'd do it with me so I stopped, we started together a couple weeks later but she had such BAD caffiene withdrawal she didn't even make it one day. She hadn't drank any coffee all weekend and then we started on Monday so she pretty much felt like crap for 3 days. I did however continue and made it to 9 days, (goal was 10). I also did a liver flush on day 8, That wasn't fun let me tell ya! But it worked, I did get out some gallstones, but as I had thrown up the lemon-oil mixture, I don't think it was as effective as it could have been. I also started on the P&B shakes on day 3 but only worked up to 2 a day as they are not pleasant either. To be honest I was dissapointed because I DIDN"T SEE ANY MUCOID PLACQUE. Gross I know, but I was really looking forward to seeing it! The fasting really wasn't that bad for me, I wasn't hungry at all, and didn't really have the cravings some people talk about, but I'm not overly into food either. I don't for the most part eat junk (chips, soda, treats) but I do eat fast food at least once a week. The bad thing about it is the BOREDOM. It gets old quickly. I did lose some weight but have to admit I've gained it all back. I started at 113, went down to about 108. I also went back to my usual eating style, so I'm not surprised it didn't stay gone. I lost about a half a pound per day. I really want to get back to 105 (my ideal body weight) which is what I was for years before I met my Hubby. Men make me fat! But I make them fat too! haha So we're even! I am only 5 foot tall and these extra 8-10 pounds have been terribly hard to get rid of. My next cleanse I am gonna try the OXY-POWDER. It requires no fasting (though I might anyway) and it just LIQUIFIES the stool (including MP) but i hear the first few days can be very uncomfortable ie. gas, bloating. Especially if you are very ummm.... blocked. Overall I was satisfied with my cleanse and VERY proud of myself. NO ONE thought I could go for 10 days without food. My boss actaully said "Oh honey, you have to eat SOMETHING." It really was a self-confidence booster for me. To know that I have that kind of control over my body/mind. Amazing. Well that's my cleanse story. Oh and to answer your question, I haven't and will not do a cleanse while trying to grow breasts. It just seems counter-productive to me. --Jane

Jane, Wow!! I am so impressed you made it that long on the Master Cleanse. On day four, I was actually whimpering and my son told me to” just shut up and eat something for cryin’ out loud!!” That’s when I switched to the juice fast. Some people feel that the juice fast is superior to the Master Cleanse anyway. I just know that it was so much easier to adhere to than just lemon water. I can’t believe that some of the people on the curezone have done 40+ days on just the Master Cleanse. Talk about intestinal fortitude.(heehee) I had unexpected company earlier so I guess that my liver flush will have to wait until next Sunday.(it is my only day off work)As you know, those kind of flushes are kind of a two day project. It is too bad that you threw up the lemon-oil on your flush. Have you ever tried fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. It seems a lot of people vomit with the lemon-oil. Just a thought. Funny you mentioned Oxy-powder. I just did that last week. I took one of my vacation weeks off of work just to do it. It really cleans you out but I really didn’t feel like it did much for mucoid plaque. My tummy did get fairly flat after the first couple of days but pooched back out eventually. I feel like it just got out all the food that I had recently eaten.(like from the past couple days) It definitely empties the intestines. If you decide to try it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised that there is very little discomfort involved. Yes, you will have gassy, diarrhea like bowel movements but there is no cramping at all. I was expecting cramps because I thought it would work like magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts) and that gives me terrible cramps but it is magnesium oxide and is suppose to deliver oxygen to the intestines. The worst part was having to stay in close proximity to a toilet at all times.(What a fun vacation that was!) This gets better on about the fourth day but even then, don’t go too far Raven

The funny thing is after 8 days on the "lemonade" the change of taste was kinda nice. Getting the oil down wasn't too bad (plugged my nose) and then drinking the lemon juice (again plugged nose)... WOW I had no idea lemon juice tasted that BAD. But to be honest when I threw it up, I thought I was gonna die. The oil just kept coating everything and I felt like I wasn't ever gonna be able to breath. My reason for not doing one again too quickly. I do think I will try it with grapefruit next time. My sis has a tree, heck, we have grapefruit trees all over around here (AZ). Do you think that PINK grapefruit would be OK since it is naturally sweeter? I do really want to do one again since I am sure I have gallstones. My other reason for doing the Cleanses was I have a dark under eye circle. Just one, my left eye, really annoying. And I heard that a liver or kidney cleanse MIGHT help if it was due to toxins. Glad to hear that about the Oxy-Powder. I really want my husband to do a fast with me but he is just not willing. Maybe I could slip it into his food? hahahahahah oh my goodness, he would kill me! hehehehehe Definatley NOT recommended I'm sure. --Jane

Sooo, after all this effort..and your dark under eye circles are still there...maybe it's just poor under eye circulation? For me the trick was using a great under Vit E/K gel called Vita-K. It's available at Wal-Mart for like $7. Twice a day..and about a mos later...needed no! foundation under my eyes ;D May be worth a try..he, he. You two are something else...those cleanses

Actually I have used Vita K and it does work for me but I just don't remember to use it. My main problem is a BLUE vein that is really close to the surface and it is very noticible (to me at least.) Maybe I will have to get some more & try to be more diligent about using it. Thanks for the input --Jane

Hey Gals: I have been doing intestinal cleansing for a few months now (Not the Master Cleanse yet). Possibly when the kids are back at school. Have done 4 Hulda's liver cleanses so far... Great results!! I am hoping that when I finish this years cleansing, and return to a BE program it will make the program more effective. I have been fortunate and have grown and kept my growth even through all this cleansing. Anyone started on a BE program after cleansing? Hippychick

I did my cleanse before I started NBE again but I really hadn't seen much growth until recently when I started dowsing. I was also using progesterone for a while which can slow things down. I also recently added damiana, SOY milk and changed my massage technique. All of which were added with "p". BUT I've also put on weight, (up 5 lbs.) and hope its not just the weight gain, though I don't think so, because my slightly smaller breast has seemed to have caught up to the larger and they are also fuller in general than before. I feel the cleanse helped me start fresh, but have no proof that it helped with growth. --Jane

I did a very basic liver cleanse. Could barely get down the Epsom salt and lemon water for 3 days . After I started dowsing, p indicated I didn't need to do another cleanse, and there my journey began. I seem to have been cleaning my system out in the process. Per my 'p', on 7g's of Vit C a day, 5g's of Vit B, and an Immodium A-D. I'm VERY regular now, like never before. Even have less pouch than I did before.

Okay - I personally recommend doing the liver cleanse before any other kind of cleanse. It IS extreme - and if you're squeemish, you can just do the warm lemon water with epsom salt morning and night and it will be helpful. I think most healthy people don't really need to do the lemon/oil cleanse very often, if they do the lemon water once a month or so.
However - I did them regular lemon/oil cleanse for health reasons and really recommend it - IF you are up to it. There are two things that will help you keep from throwing up the oil, and help keep it down.
First of all - mix them together and drink it through a straw and keep the straw as far back in your mouth as you can without gagging yourself. This will help keep most of the oil away from your tongue and teeth.
Second - sip it in little bits.
Third - sip a regular Coca-cola during the process. Coca-cola (no other brand, regular sugar-full Coke) reduces nausea. (Something my sons' pediatrician taught me.) You can also get "Cola-Syrup" at the drug store, but regular brand-name, non-diet Coke will help keep you from puking.
As far as the dark circles, what you need is more B12. If you are fasting a lot or eating a vegetarian diet, or not eating much red meat, you are probably B12 deficient. Even if you only eat a little red meat, you can be deficient, because the body doesn't really process it very well through the stomach, so you have to eat a LOT of red meat to get enough. Try a sublingual spray or lozenze supplement. Or try just a regular B complex capsule first - because it's cheaper.
Remember that some ethnic groups tend to get the dark circles more than others just because of differences in skin pigmentation.
Also - If Oxy powder is magnesium citrate - yes, it's gonna clean out your guts. Overdoing magnesium does cause "the runs". Not sure what the price is on the powder, but cheap mag-citrate pills should do the same thing. (Same as magnesium citrate in a bottle sold at the drug store, or epsom salt.) You can mix up epsom salt with sweetener and lemon (or other flavoring) to save money.
As far as fruit juice fasts - this is not recommended for anyone with diabetes or hypoglycemia or syndrome X. They would be better served with a vegetable broth fast. Three days should be sufficient. A fruit juice fast would also be spectacularly BAD for anyone with candida, vaginal yeast infection, or any other fungal (issues). Better off with a vegetable broth or meat broth fast.
I would myself do a liver cleanse, then an intestinal cleanse and then a blood cleanse.
There are several supplements blood cleansing, but I found a combination of garlic and vitamin C in very high doses did pretty well.
I'm also personally in favor of smaller, milder cleanses, spread out and done gently. For healthy people with no more than annoying chronic medical conditions, that is.
Also, I would recommend doing the cleanses BEFORE starting BE, not during - and short, mild ones during BE breaks.

What is the "master cleanse"? It's a 10+ (what is recommended for the full effect) day liquid fast of lemonade made with Organic Grade B maple syrup, spring water, and cayenne pepper mixed together, with salt water flushes in the morning, and laxative tea at night. I'm starting a 15 day master cleanse tomorrow night/Friday
