From: Mansi (Original Message) Sent: 8/3/2003 10:10 PM Hi everyone,
I had started using Red clover since last 10 days or so and in these last 10 days, I ahve really gained a lot of weight.
Just hoping that it is water .... something taht just happens when you start on a new hreb and will go away. But just wanted to let u ladies know about it and needless to say taht I am gaining weight all in the wrong parts of the body.
I am wondering if anything can be done about it (in case it is not just water and is real fat)
Thanks everyone
Mansi

From: ebayshopper Sent: 8/3/2003 10:16 PM Hey girl, sure glad you mentioned this, because that's what happened to me too. I blew up like a balloon. I have backed off of it for now till I can see if I can get my rings back on. It seemed to be working too but my bust wasnt growing as fast as my rear so will be waiting to see best way to take this. From: Mominator5 Sent: 8/3/2003 10:20 PM Hi Mansi, The reason I started Red Clover for my routine was it helps with the Fenugreek side effects, weight gain, headaches, fuzzy brain. However, your body could be just adjusting, are you close to AF? It could also just be coincidence. Give it some time, see what happens. Momi'

from: Mansi Sent: 8/4/2003 7:05 AM Hi everyone, Good to know that lot of us are sailing in the same boat. Actually I did guess that this may be mainly water becuase this happened when I started with herbs in the first place also and then it all went away. May be my body is getting used to all this herbs and so all this. Hopefully this will be fine soon. Meanwhile I am also watching my diet. Thanks Happy Growing Mansi

From: pammyboat Sent: 8/4/2003 7:07 AM I thought I read that red clover helps suppress appetite. Shoot, that's one of the reasons I added it in the beginning, cause the others made me feel hungry all the time. Must go read up on it so I'll know what it's supposed to be doing. pammy

From: Mansi Sent: 8/4/2003 11:27 AM Hi Fawn, One more thing. According to the survey that Wen posted, I turned out to be estrogen deficient. And I am taking 1800mg fenugreek, 1290 mgs Red clover and 4000 mg SP. I started taking 4000 mg SP since last one week only and previous to that I was taking 3000 mg SP. I also plan to increase Red clover slowly as I am estrogen deficient. What do you think? How much RC should I take? Thanks a lot Mansi

From: Mansi Sent: 8/4/2003 12:04 PM Hi Fawn, I got the non-DF version. Wait a minute, I thought the problem was with DF version and not non-DF version. I got confused. What exactly do you mean by cycling for 5-7 day? Thanks Mansi

From: Mansi Sent: 8/4/2003 5:08 PM Hi Ginty, I do not know if I have gained some weight or it is good old water retention which most of the phytoestrogenic herbs can cause. (Since I am also got my periods today unexpectedly, I expect that this was mainly water retention) Well you need adequete body fat for BE to happen and also it ia okay to gain a few pounds while on BE which you can shed later once u are through BE. Hope that helps Happy Growing Mansi
