From: pammyboat Sent: 1/15/2003 4:52 PM Unfortunately, it does take time, ugh!! If you're doing good on that dose with no side effects, I see no reason to increase it slowly. Tenderness is a good sign!! pammy

From: pammyboat Sent: 1/16/2003 7:32 AM Hi Cheri,
I think if you are on a certain amount and not getting any signs of growth, slowly increase it (but don't go over, yikes!! lol). You should feel something, although I didn't have pains, I was sore and warm sometimes. Different times of the month felt different than other times of the month as well, so take that into consideration.
Good Luck!!

From: kitty Sent: 1/16/2003 7:17 PM I just happened to be browsing today, so I thought I would add my two cents. I am by no means knowledgable, the stuff I am about to say comes from several months of reading the messages on boards like this. BE happens when the hormone level is raised, right? But we also know that when we give our body hormones, (or hormone-like substances found in herbs) it tends not to produce as many of its own to compensate. So, I figure that your body is adjusting, so you won't grow as fast as you might had your body kept churning out hormones at the same rate as before, but you will still grow--if slowly. The problem with adding more herbs/hormones is that your body will produce even less, of its own and you run into the problem of what happens when you are done with BE. Your hormone level drops sharply and it takes awhile for the body to produce at normal levels again. I think that is why many gals lose some or all of their growth when they stop BE. I am currently pregnant BTW, and therefore NOT currently participating in BE, but I was thinking about the temporary breast growth during pregnancy. (If only it weren't temporary!! ) The hormone levels are high, you get growth. At the end of pregnancy, they drop SHARPLY. You lose the growth. But you don't notice it much if you are nursing because you usually have milk filling you up. I know that when I have been nursing, my breasts are pretty small after being emptied. I think that the fullness present during pregnancy has gone away, the milk storage usually masking that. Again, I could be wrong on this, but these are my speculations from my own experience. After all, BE is a subject I care a great deal about!! Kitty

From: kitty Sent: 1/16/2003 7:34 PM One more quick thing, You know how a lot of BE companies recommend that after you reach your desired size you keep taking a "maintainence dose"? Well, my opinion that that is just allowing the body to adjust back to producing a normal amount of hormones again--a buffer between BE and going cold turkey. My understanding is that when your body is producing a normal amount of hormones, you stay where you are at. More hormones, grow, less hormones shrink. It seems that for all the confidence that BE sellers talk with, this is such a new "field" and so little research has been done, nobody really knows what they are talking about yet--including me! So many in the fields of science and medicine don't even believe in it. It will take years for brave, trail-blazing souls to really take a look and begin to understand. We are all grateful for all the time Bob is putting into it. Few have bothered to believe, let alone care. Not only is it not a life or death issue, as is cancer, but many women out there have enough boobage not to care very much. All I know is that as I walk this world, I see very few with figures like mine. Those that are as small as me are usually also thin, and that isn't so bad. They at least are, well, thin! I fear that if I were to be as thin as I would like, my boobs would disappear altogether! It is nice to know there are other people out there that suffer the same cosmetic ailement as me. Ok, I think I am done rambling!
