This was something I was going to put into my write-up, but I'm not sure how long that's going to take.

Looks like I need to mention now, that normally, progesterone levels peak around day 21. Those of you who are uncomfortable or unhappy or worried without it, but want to see if cutting back will increase results, might want to just reduce usage to days 21- the first day of your period (whenever that falls). Don't reduce the amount, just reduce it to taking it only during that last week.

I think it's a workable compromise, and since usage is only when you normally get PMS, might help with that particularly (most women PMS from days 21-28).

During this time, BTW - estrogen levels are still high and stable, only progesterone rises and falls. Starts up on day 14, peaks on 21 and begins to drop. The sudden drop is what starts your period, along with a drop in estrogen.

Hi Fawn,

I really like this idea & I will start the progesterone on day 21 this cycle. I was a little nervous about cycling it, so this seems like a good compromise for me. One question though, should we still increase BO for the last 2 weeks of our cycles? I'm taking 2100 mg now. My growth has seemed to come to a standstill & I want to get it going again.

You COULD - but then you might not get as much out of the progesterone as you would like, since you would still end up highly estrogen dominant.

If you really need the progesterone, best just let it do its work.

I completely understand why you are clearly telling what I COULD do with this stuff. Don't worry, I would never hold you accountable if I should get PMS, as I know these are my choices to make. For some reason, my last cycle was only 25 days (no PMS as usual), so maybe a slight increase in BO for the 2nd 2 weeks with the same amount of progesterone (20mg) the last week? What do you think?

I would increase BO to 2400-2800 during the last two weeks, and use the progesterone only during day 21-whenever your period starts. If you end up running really long - 34 days, you might want to stop progesterone then to bring your cycle on.
