From: Mominator5 (Original Message) Sent: 8/19/2003 7:09 PM The theory being discussed is: Low Progesterone, Estrogen Dominance has a lot of swelling, prior to AF. Normal Levels on both cause some "swelling" but not uncomfortable. What we are looking at is whether "large swelling" is a sign of the ultimate goal in lower progesterone levels in breast receptors.
Okay we know from several threads by Fawn that during the luteal phase the glands swell do to progesterone level's increasing. We also know that estrogen plays a role in this swelling. Here's the question and would like to see who "swells" so badly that it hurts boobs to walk. And who swells slightly with little pain. Please list your results from the John Lee Quiz. Momi' and Wen'

From: Wenonae_ Sent: 8/19/2003 7:44 PM Estrogen dominent, kinda excess androgen, progesteron high (due to BCP)...swelling during luteal minimal...all usually immediately lost as soon as AF gets going good. Not too much pain or 'uncomfortableness'. Determining if damiana and oregano slows loss process at all this 'cycle'.

Estrogen deficiency. I also think I have cortisol deficiency. No swelling or pain in breasts before AF anytime in my life (even while on BE). But do get water retention in lower body before AF. Mansi

From: Hippychick555 Sent: 8/19/2003 11:47 PM Found the questionaire confusing, so I just answered the questions as they relate to my BE program. Hope that was the right way to do it... Excess estrogen, estrogen dominance Excess androgens Cortisol deficiency Can't say that I get particularly achy during the luteal phase, just some extra swelling. When I was a kid (went on the pill at 16 because of bad PMS) they luteal phase was h ll, my breast hurt to even touch them. I am now on 5 grams SP, and BO (SP at 5 gr for 10 days now). I am considering taking a larger dose. Any suggestions? Or is this too early to feel too much of a difference? By the way I know it has been awhile since I have posted. I want to say that I am holding at 10". Hippychick

From: ayact Sent: 8/20/2003 6:07 AM Androgen dominant, cortisol deficiency. Have no PMS at all. I am a Visonary, so by boobs supposedly react better to BO than herbs... I have no swelling almost at all, but if any, it is generally when I am on herbs. Weird, isn't it? I have seen no results so far.

From: anita22179 Sent: 8/20/2003 6:58 AM hi ,
am oestrogen dominant( have low oestrogen and very low progesterone) , have excess androgen. never swelled prior to AF with or without BE, have bad cramps just before AF and on day 1. i definitely have the signs of low progesterone and oestrogen dominance but i never had any of the symptoms of oestrogen deficiency, i found that out only coz i did a blood test and came in the lower normal range.

From: 7266Soul Sent: 8/20/2003 7:11 AM I ticked the most boxes in the low cortisol category. After that, I seem to be very slightly low in estrogen, and at times slightly estrogen dominant!! Breast tenderness at times during luteal phase - sometimes extreme tenderness and fullness. Periods on time (no BCP or other contraceptive meds). Heavy bleeding every few months, cramping some months not others. Kind of confusing........ WG

From: Venus0897 Sent: 8/20/2003 10:21 AM My results were a bit confusing... I think the test is a bit too general, for me anyway. But here goes:
Cortical deficiency and Excess androgens is the categories I checked off the most boxes. I sometimes have symptoms of low estrogen and then at other times excess estrogen, just like WG mentioned. Also, since changing my BE routine I have some symptoms of low progesterone. I very rarely have PMS and have only slight swelling, if any, during the luteal phase, but do experience tingles and occasional soreness. This is only since doing BE, before BE I never had any swelling or soreness.

From: Wenonae_ Sent: 8/20/2003 2:24 PM Absolutely not, 2meis....we're just trying to understand or see if there's trend...right now, it's looking like it it's ALL over the map. Keep at high doses of SP berries 5-7g's and moderate estrogen doses (RC=2g's, fenugreek= 1.5g's, etc.). Happy Growin'!
