From: _WHITE-PIGEON_ (Original Message) Sent: 7/30/2003 3:14 AM Well its actually two questions Is saw palmetto good for massage if I just open a capsule and rub it in? Or whats the best for topical, funegreek? Fawn, this is the part I hoped you would help me with Do you think that I would have better results with herbal BE if I wait untill after I'm done dieting. Its hard to explain but it kinda seems like if I do it while Im dieting it might not work as well and then when Im done dieting and Im still taking the pills it wont work as well because my body will be used to the herbs and they wouldnt work because they already started to try and make me grow but they couldnt because I was loosing weight. Does this make any sense at all lol, I hope so! Thanks a lot! Dakota

Hi WP, I think you can massage with SP - no problem. But why not just take it? It seems to help TONS in BE! I just use EPO for massage (and FG and Wild Yam and SP for the heat massage). I'm not Fawn, but I know she believes that BE and dieting don't mix. You can start with SP tho while dieting, and keep massaging to hold onto breast density and fullness! Hope you lose the weight you want!!! Good luck (here's to getting the bus of both worlds.... looking buff and boobed!) WG

From: fawnmarie42 Sent: 7/30/2003 8:22 AM Dakota - 1. It's a waste of good saw palmetto. Fenugreek, fennel and saw palmetto berries need to be "decocted" to work best. Although they seem to do well when we swallow the capsules - that is because we have acids & enzymes (and body heat) to digest the essential components. Just opening a capsule and rubbing it on will not work very well. For any root, bark, seed or berry - for topical application - you will need to either boil them in water - or place them in a solvent for a couple of weeks - to extract the chemicals you wish to use. You can open some sp capsules and up-end them into a little gin or vodka, place in an opaque container and store in a dark place for two weeks. Then you can apply them mixed with lotion. (BTW - just leaving the extract you are going to use immediately exposed to air for a little while will evaporate a lot of the alcohol so it won't burn your skin.) You can even try boiling them - but ground sp berries are going to be hell to strain. However - better than not boiling them. 2. Decide whether you are going to lose weight or gain bust. It doesn't seem to work together. If you decide to lose weight first - then you can use SP to try to keep from losing too much breast tissue. You can also try topical inch loss methods rather than dieting, if your concern is losing lower body fat. You can try body wraps and/or Yohimburn or Lipoderm-Y and try BE at the same time. I have found that taking phytoestrogens make it difficult to lose weight when dieting. Hope that helps. I have some write ups on bodywraps at the website, so if you're interested you can go there to get an idea of what's involved. fawn www.botanicalbeautylab.com

Dakota, I have to agree totally with Fawn on this one. Losing weight and BE just don't mix-been there done that. The SP will help retain SOME breast tissue and won't cause bloat the way that phyto's do. Even the red clover didn't alleviate all of it. The Yohimburn works really well especially when used while dieting. Be aware if you opt to boil SP berries that the scent is less than appealing. gigi
