Hi, there I would like to clarify this for myself once and for all: what does this mean when you have to take pills ( BO, vitamins, etc) with food? DO you take it right before you eat or right after? And what does this mean: take in on empty stomach ( like with herbs): would 1 hr after or before food be OK? Or the time has to be longer? Thanks a lot! Vic

Vic, Okay - once and for all - for pills taken with food, you can take them right before you start eating, before you leave the table, or up to about 1/2 after eating. For herbs - take at least 1/2 hour before eating - or at least 2-3 AFTER eating. The 1/2 hour prior with give your stomach a chance to break them down and start absorbing them before you put fat/fiber into your stomach, which will make it more difficult to absorb. Waiting 2-3 hours after will allow your stomach to empty out, and depends on what kind of food you eat. If you take your herbs sublingually, then it doesn't really matter as much, though I still recommend at least10-15 before eating and at least 1-2 hours after eating. Make sense? Fawn
