Hi everyone, It seems there are more who are using herbs rather than bovine ovary. I'm curious which is more effective? I have been taking Bountiful Breast pills for about 9 months and have gained about a half a cup size but still have a long ways to go. After breastfeeding 3 kids, then losing about 30 lbs I went from a 36B to a 34A before starting the BO. Now I'm loosely filling a 34B. I heard BO was better for thin women. I'm 5'6, Asian, and weigh 130 lbs. I have an athletic/curvy figure, am in excellent shape and do weight training 4 times a week, plus occasionally do pilates on other days. I have a stressful job, can't sleep without ambien, and love my daily chai. I did a one day liver cleanse a couple weeks ago and stopped the pills for 7 days. Now I've added saw palmetto in hoping it will give it a boost. So far no tingling though. I was thinking of finishing the BO (I have about a month's supply left) and then starting another new herb routine, but I'm afraid of gaining weight. BTW, I used Brava for about 9 months but it didn't work for me - guess I don't have enough body fat. Any helpful tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi there- BO seems good if you're ovaries don't function well or if you've had one removed. Herbs in general are for everyone else in good health. To figure out your herbs, assess your health. Do you have PMS? Do you have acne? Find herbs which will help with those issues AND BE. Usually, if you right those issues, breasts have a better chance of growing. If not, pick the basics- fenugreek + vitamins. Brava- can be of a some kind of help if you're growing fats w/ herbs at the same time. It'll function as a massager in place of doing it by hand. But for the many hours the manufacturer says one should wear it...that seems to be too much work. G' luck Wen'

Hi Wen- Thanks for the reply. I think my ovaries are fine as far as I know. I don't have acne. I'm in general good health but I do have bad PMS, and I had to take progesterone during the 1st trimester for my 2nd and 3rd babies. I thought I might have thyroid issues since my basal temp ranges between 97.6 to 98.6 but tests came out normal. I started natural progesterone cream to help with PMS and with luteal bloating and I only use it 14 days a month. I've heard that you should avoid soy, caffeine and alcohol during a BE program. Is that correct or is that very critical? Hmm, I have thought of using the Brava along with the BE but I was getting so tired of sleeping with those darned plastic domes! Maybe I will give the herbs a shot. Is there a routine you'd recommend based on the PMS? Thanks Dalia

Soy can really just cause hang-ups. Caffeine depends on the person, but some need to avoid- some don't (so not crucial to stop immediately). Alcohol- red wine has some potentially helpful benefits and do beers every now and again. Routine for those w/ PMS- USP progesterone last 12-14 days of cycle (like you're doing) in low doses, fenugreek (in general max dose of 1500mg/day for anyone- ramp up over 3 months), and vitamins (especially complex B and vitamin C). Also in your case, red clover will definitely help (ramp up to 2500mg/day over 2 months). To save $- order bulk herbs and make your own pills. More potent herbs and save lots of dough. www.mountainroseherbs.com or www.herbalcom.com...ditch the domes and do your own stimulating massage and wear one of those bras which help move armpit fats towards breasts (like Susan bra).
