Hello Mary,
The enhancement blend is a 1=1=1 ratio of fenugreek, saw palmetto, and wild yam. I have never been in favor of it because it allows less freedom with dosages of individual herbs and can be confusing as to how much of each herb one is actually getting.
If we were on the other board (you are on there, correct? If not, let me know.) I think I will save the space here and just point to that one. It is the "Current Recommended Program" as it looks to me that you would be a good fit for that one. It is based on Greenbush's program and herbs in their 90 day kit (#2). The idea would be to ramp up to the following (or lower dosages if that is what gives you "growing pains" such as deep aches, itches, fullness, etc.
Aside from that, and in spite of Bustea, fennel or fenu/fennel tea work the best. Most of the ingredients in the tea you are taking are Ok but definitely stop chaste tree (vitex) and black cohosh. Black cohosh taken at the wrong time, or all the time, will scramble the menstrual cycle due to its inhibiting effect on LH. Chaste tree elevates dopamine which inhibits prolactin.

Hello Wahaika,
Yes, I found the other site. Thanks for the advice. I'll work from there and stay off of the Vitex and Black Cohosh. Have you heard of any success with Shatavari?

Shatavari: Yes, indirectly. Women who have taken up asparagus in their diet did well. Since it is a galactagogue it should be a good herb to use for NBE, but as a separate supplement it is untried. It should be a good one.

Hello Wahaika,
I have been reading the link you suggested with the current suggested program. I still have about 1/2 a bottle of the GB blend caps and 1 1/2 extract bottles. I did buy fenugreek caps and some fennel tea and fenugreek caps (625 mg). I can't afford to purchase more herbs right now. Does it seem okay for me to start with fenugreek (625mg) on your ramp up program then on day 5 add the GB blend? I also wonder if I may need more fenugreek since I am older. Do you have thoughts on this? I have also changed my massage routine: instead of using the GB extract in olive oil, I am using fenugreek in borage and olive oil-more of a paste. I have felt tingling and heaviness. It's just been three days. I am also continuing with the food/nutritional support.
I am going to be camping for 6 weeks this summer and would like a cream for massage during this time. Is there any that you would recommend to take the place of the fenugreek/borage/olive oil massage oil? I have looked at bella's beautiful breast creams but they are very expensive.
Also, on the GB variant you mention that Wonderup is good for women who are starting small. I started this program at an AA (at 45) although at my largest size (either breastfeeding or before breastfeeding) I was a D. Which would I match better? The Wonderup or the GB? Thanks for your help.

Hi Mary,
Probably the best thing to do is to ramp up on the enhancement blend caps and then add more fenugreek to it once you get to around 3000mg per day of each herb (9000mg per day of the enhancement blend). Adding fenugreek as an adjustment on top of that might be a good idea, but do not go over 3000mg per day of fenugreek with all sources combined. You might even try this at 2000mg of fenugreek (6000mg of the enhancement blend) and then adjust with the fenugreek caps.
Being older doesn't translate to more herbs, that is all by size. But being older means that you may need something like GABA every night to give growth hormone a kick start. Weight bearing exercise will also do this.
As far as a cream, you could get an MSM cream and add fenugreek powder or extract to it. The paste is a very good idea.
I have noticed that WU works well for smaller women in their early to mid 20's. For those who have had children and are older, individual herbs, especially Greenbush, works far better. In the case of the enhancement blend, maybe they know of some women who have had success with it. I am not aware of any. It doesn't make sense, but that is what I have observed. Their other kits are unbeatable when it comes to results.

Thank you for the suggestions! I will try this plan and look for a good MSM cream. I should be able to purchase the GB kit #2 soon.
Blessings, Mary

Was thinking to start with Fenugreek, Saw palmetto and wild yam. What do you think? Also do i have to start my treatment on the first day of menstruation? I had a baby last year and my C boobies got saggy,I hope ill fill them again!! Thanks!
