Hello, I'm new and i just want to start off saying that i am so glad i found this site. So much great info and advice. I just ordered greenbush and i feel very confident that it'll work due to the experiences i've read from here. I was just about to spend over 200 dollars on commercial pills that arent proven to work. I was almost fooled by all those fake testimonials written by the same companies that sell them. Glad i finally found a board about REAL women with REAL experiences on BE. Now, to my question. Does smoking cigarets or marijuana decrease the BE process? If this is the case, I'll cut back or stop completely. I really dont want anything to interfere. I'm not sure if this question has been answered here yet.. i have not found it. Thank you guys so much for your help

Hi there and welcome! I can only speak for myself when I say that I had no problem with herbs and smoking...although I do think that it depends on each and every person and their own chemistry. So I don't think that there is a real difinitive answer on that question. I know nothing of the mary jane inquiry....I do not smoke anything besides cigarettes. But I can't imagine that it would be good for BE or good for you. Just my opinion, not judging! Good luck to you, Kelly

From what I can remember, many of the women who smoke (tobacco) have had success with BE. Me Mominator, Pammy (though technically NOT a smoker, cause a couple of cigarettes a week does NOT count!) Anyway - not so sure about marijuana. Tobacco does affect dopamine receptors, and I think it decreases prolactin output (which is why smokers have less breast milk), but it doesn't seem to have affected anyone that much for BE. Marijuana supposedly increases dopamine (which would reduce prolactin), but since it's so highly (and ridiculously) illegal here in the States, where most of our participants live, it doesn't come up much in discussion. (Too bad there isn't an Amsterdam BE board! ) Anyway, since tobacco is addictive and harder to give up than MJ, you might want to drop the MJ for the process if you think it might interfere. As far as tobacco, it's bad enough dealing with mood swings with BE, I'm not sure I'd recommend quitting for your family and friends sake - unless you don't smoke it much or often. If it's not really a set addiction for you - and you think you can quit - then you should just for GP's, though. No point making it worse. Fawn

Well, there is this one Dutch girl on this site!!! ME!! ;D And I smoke marihuana occasionally as well (great when you're having your period). On top of that, I smoke quite a lot of sigarets. I don't think marihuana really affects your BE program, unless you are a heavy smoker (doing it every day or at least 3 times a week). I've grown 1 1/4 inch in the first month, after that growth was little in the following two month but still there (lack of growth may also be explained by malnutricion and lack of sleep during these months; I was having a lot of stress). Right now I've run out of supplies for almost a month now, so that I'm not growing doesn't really count here. I have kept all the growth so far though.
