Hello everyone! I'd like to start by saying how much I appreciate this board! I have been unhappy with my breast size for as long as I have had them. I was thinking about trying the Brava system until I found the about.com message board (very few success stories!) Then I stumbled on this board and what a relief!! I have read almost every thread here . I am now waiting for AF to begin taking Mirifem. My question is can I take Mirifem while still using Nuva Ring? I know your not suppose to take it with BC due to the estrogens "canceling" each other out. But I dowsed nuva and my p said I could take it without it affecting BE. Since I am so new at all of this I was hoping someone out there could give me some guidance. I am not opposed to discontinuing my BC but if I don't have to, I would keep using it. Debbie

Hi OmDebbie,
Hmmmmm.....The Nuva Ring releases hormones similar to that of the B/C pill. I am no expert, however from what I have read about both Mirifem & the Nuva Ring I would think it would be a rather risky combination. Hopefully Fawn or someone with more knowledge will chime in and give you a more definate answer.
Good luck, Lisa

i also took pueraria mirifica for a while-before they brought our mirifem and i was on BC. i'm pretty sure the mirifem doesn't interfere with the effectiveness of the BC, but they strongly recommened u don't take BC at the same time. i had limited results when i was taking BC and then i saw some growth when i stopped taking BC. i think you're right that the hormones interfere with BE. if you've spent the money on mirifem, u should give it the best chance of working. i know it's a pain! sorry i can't be any more help, but i hope it works out for u x

It depends on the BC as to whether it will 'inhibit' or promote breast growth AND the genetics of the person. So far, Yasmin and Diane-35 have the highest amount of success stories for helping in the breast department, however, almost any BC + herbs can help some ladies. BC allows the body to be regulated and hormones to be more stabilized- which is ideal when you're trying to tweak the balance towards estrogen a little more. You don't have to work at it as hard. I would try the Mirefem while you're using the Nuva ring, but only small amounts (1-2g's/day). If you notice sensations after a month of use (the 15-days on, 15-days off suggestion), then you're onto something good!
Best of'
