Hi everyone, My name is Jennifer and I am new to this board. I am truly glad to have found a board where this topic is so openly and freely discussed. A bit of a background first… I am 30, and I have only tried NBE once. I tried WB, and it did not work for me. I found out that my lower than average basal temperature may have had to do with this. I have just started with some Greenbush herbs (SP, WY, and FG). I have been on them for 2 and a half weeks, and I have experienced a lot of tingling and some soreness, that I didn’t experience with WB. No fullness or growth so far, but of course, it is quite early into the herbs. Anyhow, my question and concern is that, as evidenced by my temperature, I think that I may have a sluggish thyroid. My hands and/or feet are often very cold. I have measured my (underarm) temperature and it ranges from 96.5-96.7. My sublingual temp is at about 97.7. My question is, will herbs work for me with this temperature? Or will herbs only work if my temp is higher? I have already purchased some tyrosine and am into my second day of taking it. Should I continue to take the herbs or should I stop them until I can improve my temp, and then restart them at that point? Also, is 98.3 the minimum temp I should be aiming for? Is this the temp for underarm or sublingual? Thank you for reading. I would truly appreciate any advice. All best, Jen

Hi,
I also forgot to mention, I took Dr. Lee's test, and I fall under the category of "Estrogen Dominance." Can anyone shed some light on what that means please, and how that might affect the usage of the herbs?
Thank you so much! Jen

You sure got signs of growth! A sluggish thyroid will certainly SLOW down the process and more than likely stop it all together. Take the tyro while taking herbs. I take mine all together...meaning BE herbs with L-tyrosine;). Although if you just started you should only be at 500mg for 4-5 days, watch temps, see how they are doing, if still low go up another 500mg 4-5. No higher than 2g daily. EMPTY TUMMY! Estrogen Dominance means that you are not producing enough progesterone, which is NOT a bad thing for BE purposes. When you have reached your goal, you may want to consider progesterone therapy. Lots of information on the board, but it is applied cream form, make sure you purchase it with progesterone USP in the ingredients. Most of our successes are estrogen dominant....so...in that respect it is GOOD news! Sounds like you are on your way, tingles & soreness are a VERY good sign. Bust of Luck!

Hi Mominator! Thank you so much for you great reply! ;D Can you please let me know what temp I should be aiming for when taking the tyrosine, and whether this temp is for underarm or under the tongue? Thanks so much again. All best, Jen

Hi Jennifer, I am thrilled if I get in the high 97's with underarm temp! Remember in follicle stage it will be lower than luteal. Hope that helps! Each person is individual, but your lower tmeps & other symptoms are signs of a sluggish thyroid. You may want to add a milk thistle liver cleanse Day 1-3. Just to keep that liver movin' and not cloggin' with excess estrogen. Just another TIT bit of information;)
