I was on the MIss USA site earlier, since pageants are about to start for them and they came to my state for some pageant....and I as I looked at their stats, I was a bit confused. All of them are about 5'8-5'11 and all seem to have huge boobs! I don't know that it's physically possible for such tall, thin females to have huge boobs! I thought there was a rule where if you had implants, you couldnt be a contestant, but I'm not sure.
So much for trying to convey to US girls all over that you should just "be yourself!"

This was on the Frequently Asked Question area
"Are delegates allowed to have cosmetic surgery?
A: Although contestants are discouraged from altering their own natural beauty, no restrictions are placed on cosmetic surgery; it is impossible to enforce such a rule. In fact, since 1990 the organization has allowed the use of padding in an effort to discourage participants from permanently altering their bodies for the competition. "
So I guess disregard emailing them....lol

LOL! Thanks for investigating, Island! I guess that explains it! So I've come to the conclusion that in order to be Miss America, you have to get breast implants, but tell everyone it's your natural figure.... I see Ah well, to each his own!

Hi, everyone competing for Ms. Universe has some kind of plastic surgery. the thing is their is so much compeitition among countries that they just want to send their best product out. and if their best product has something not good- just change it.
Like thier best product should have - best hair, smile, nose, brains, figure, breasts , skin, teeth. and is their nose is not satusfactory and everything else is excellent, just change it.

Maybe some of them have those silicone inserts, like on Ms. Congeniality? How you present yourself for the camera, and how you look underneath your clothes are two different things!

I have a client that was just in the Miss teen pagent and they told her there were so many things wrong with her. It was unbelievable! she is a beautiful girl and now she thinks that she needs a boob job, whiter teeth, to lose 10-15 lbs and the list goes on and on. She is a size maybe 3 right now, if she lost any weight she would look like she was sick. alot of these girls do this for the scholarships and then they come out with no self esteem. It's really a shame what they do to them.

I have read that some girls get a rib removed to make their waists smaller! How horrible! The pageant would be much more worthwhile--if it could ever be worthwhile--if it presented only natural women!

Any woman who has to go under the knife to be beautiful is pretty shallow to me. Gives a whole new meaning to beauty is skin deep.
Smile, be friendly, and be yourself gets you a lot farther than being a fake!

And as far as men are concerned, most of the ones I know like a sweet, natural looking low maintenance gal. The ones who don't and go for the trophey type look ain't worth it!

Its not just the Miss USA Contest that like, so the Miss Hungary contest is the same way. They will never have a rule against implants, they need to. You are right, i bet all Ms. Universe contest have plastic surgery in search to have best product to represent each country, end it up person person that is most unnatural person of each country. If they want pick someone to be Ms Universe and Ms USA, Hungary ect... why can't they pick a person, who natural beautiful and some one just do not have put on a act, but just is comfortable being themselves.
