About 6 months ago I had a miscarriage...that not being hard enough, I am now having miscarriage #2!!! I pretty much want to dig myself a hole somewhere and never come out One of the most frustrating things to me is they can't find anything wrong with me....so what is the deal? I am young and have had average health, so why is this happening? I am trying to find a good way to boost up my system before we try again. My doctor isn't a specialist in OB, she is just a family practice doctor...I have no complaints with her at all.....but I am wondering if there is something I am just missing here, or if I am just having super bad luck. With both pregnancies my blood tests have come back pretty much perfect, but something keeps happening shortly after to cause my little ones to leave. I was thinking that maybe I am low on progesterone, which is pretty common, but my level for this last pregnancy was great. AAHHHH!!!! So what I would like help in ,if any of you have any ideas, is how to get super healthy before we try again, and how I can monitor my hormone levels before pregnancy, just to make sure that my body isn't low on something that I am missing or finding out when it is too late. I am taking a prenatal vitamin and omega's too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am tempted to find a cliff somewhere and jump off! Thanks! az

Well, don't jump off the cliff. I get the little ones are deciding not to stay because the pregnancy would become etopic. Usually this is an indication of how your progesterone levels are. The tests may be reading 'ok', but apparently your body needs more. The little ones opt out after they see what trauma they will have to go to :-(. So...you're a group 2 dowser. You could dig in some days of the mos to see what you need to do to make it a happy home for them. They really want to come. www.beboard.proboards107.com/index.cgi?board=popular&action=display&thread=1189535198Wen'

I don't mean any offense by this at all...I appreciate your response Wenonae:) but I'm not into the whole dowsing thing. As far as connecting to myself spiritually, what I do is pray to God. That is the only way to find true peace and how I get rid of all the "baggage" hanging on that stresses me out. Which reminds me that I need to do that more often instead of freaking out that things aren't going well. So thanks again for the info, I really do appreciate it, but I'm looking more at nutritional aspects and stuff like that.

Your position is quite understandable abt dowsing.
Yeah...really if you were doing all the folic acid and all...then not really sure what all else the charts will tell you. Best of luck. Ya know...you might want to try medidation to help with that stress- at least you'll be quiet enough to 'hear' God..ya know?

Hi az, I just now read this thread. Don't know if you are still around or not. I'm very sorry about your losses. I had several miscarriages, so I know what you've been going through. Hopefully you're through the worst part by now and feeling better. After I had several miscarriages, I started doing research to try to find out why. (I do that...I just don't blindly trust doctors.) Somehow, I found the problem in my case. Then I went to some specialists and they did bloodwork and confirmed it. My solution might not be the same for you, but it possibly could be. My blood clots a little more than normal, and when that happens, then the embryo can't implant properly. You could have your antibodies tested - the Lupus Anticoagulant, and the Anticardiolipin Antibody. The test might be called an ELISA assay. My levels tested just "borderline" but that is enough to cause a problem. It doesn't mean a person has lupus though. The docs wanted me to take Heparin (blood thinner) but I chose to just take low dose aspirin and it worked fine for me. Actually, I was already taking the aspirin by the time I saw the specialist, because I had read about it. Also, once I was pregnant again, I went twice a week to get my blood tested to monitor my progesterone level and a few weeks into the pregnancy it started dropping so immediately they put me on progesterone suppositories. Both of my next two pregnancies went fine...I have two children now. Here's an article that discusses it, or you could Google the names of the antibodies or Antiphospholipid Syndrome and you'll get tons of info on it. www.medical-library.org/journals_6a/lupus_anticoagulant.htmHope this can help you, Mango

Thanks for your message Mango! I actually did find out about 2 months ago what the problem with my pregnancies has been, and it is the same as yours. My blood just clots more than normal, and they ended up sticking me on baby aspirin. It totally makes sense now, cause both miscarriages were just hell to go through. I clotted for days and days on end, and afterwards my periods were super super bad too. So the next time I am pregnant I am definitely going to have them monitor my blood so I don't have to go through this again, hopefully:) Thanks again for the info. I'm going to check out the link that you sent me. God Bless!!!
