Hi,
For the last few weeks I've had a new problem. I was doing my BE and losing weight at the same time. I was taking fenugreek, fennel, wild yam, cinnamon extract, calcium, Oolong tea and amino acids. Some of these products were taken on the same day, and some of them were not. Most days I took fenugreek or fennel, cinnamon extract, calcium, Oolong tea and amino acids.
About a month later I suddenly during a very stressful week started getting this really weird metallic/acidic taste/gas to my mouth. It's not the normal thing that some people have after eating too much when they can feel acid in the throat and it almost tingles/hurts slightly the throat. It's more like just a taste of acidic gas. I cannot feel it in the throat. Since I've had the first option, which I believe is called heartburn in the past many years ago, but never more than under 10 times in my life, I know there's a difference.
I cut off most of the herbs and also took 2 weeks' break from everything. But still it didn't go away. I dowsed I'd need a liver cleanse.
I saw my doctor who just totally didn't think it's anything serious, but I'm worried as it doesn't seem to go away. Could someone please help me with this problem.
Thank you, Satu

Do the liver cleanse Prolly as simple as adding milk thistle. If the dr. wasn't worried, you shouldn't. I confirm it'll go away in a few days. Wen'

Hi Wen, I can always count on you. I'll add some milk thistle and see what happens. I actually booked another dr's appointment as well. The first doctor i don't think was even listening to me. Thank you so much!!! Satu

You know that stress and anxiety will cause the metallic taste. I have had many battles with the metallic taste during stressful times in my life, or when I thought a cop was going to pull me over for a ticket. or something silly..this was YEARS before attempting BE. I figure it was the stress you were under!

Thank you, flatmomof3,
I believe you're right about the stress causing it. The more i think about it, the more i agree. The problem started during a very stressful week at work and it didn't go away. I haven't had much problem with it now for a few days. Also my doctor did give me a medication for it. Thank you.

Your very welcome...Also not only do I get the metallic acidic taste when I am stressed or anxious, but also my facial skin will tingle, like little electrodes...kind of like when your arm has fallen to sleep and is all tingly! I hate it too it just recently started back in September. So strange!! Found it on the web that stress and anxiety does that so then it calmed my nerves. HA so to speak!
