Help Save the Internet

Hi Ladies,

I recently learned something and feel that I need to help get the word out.

Telecommunication companies such as Time Warner and AT&T are trying to get more control over the internet. From that I understand, they want to have it to where they would charge websites a fee to have their pages load up faster and if websites don't pay, their websites will load at a slower rate even if the viewer has high speed internet access. There is currently a bill that is going thru Congress that would block this but the House has already already rejected it. It is currently in the Senate. If it gets rejected in the Senate, this could mean forums and blogs will either load slowly or will start charging their members. If this bill gets rejected, it will totally change the internet we know today.
