Hey, have just purchased an innertalk cd for my 5yo son (the ADHD cd - he doesn't have ADHD, but the messages seem good for him).
Can I use this when he is asleep? Watching TV? I suppose it wouldn't hurt me or my daughter if I use it in the car???

If it's a subliminal CD, then it's ok to play in the background while TV is on. I listened to my Innertalk CD while listening Yahoo radio at work. Should be fine to play in the car with your daughter, but the music might be a bit 'fluffy' to listen to all the time. While he's sleeping can be 'ok', but better will be while awake and watching TV or played low in the background. Wen'

Thanks wen', it is subliminal, but actually its "nature sounds" Yes...its very err, relaxing....but 1hr later....a bit annoying. Luckily my son doesn't mind at this stage. But I'm not sure how he'll feel it in interferes with his TV!!!

Rebecca-
Keep the volume low of the CD to where you can barely hear it if nothing else is on. Then turn volume of TV to wherever you want.!

I play the "Successful Children" in the car and it seems to work well for both me AND the kids. I got the bedwetting one for a kid, and played it at bedtime, then started it over when they were asleep. Worked in about two months. Fawn

yeah, well at this stage he asks for his "jungle sounds" after his usual story tape at night, and I put it on when he's playing or watching tv as well. It will be hard to tell if its working, coz it mainly concerns school - but we're looking to improve his listening and concentrating and "staying with the task" skills. In a few weeks I'll ask the teacher if there's been any improv.
thanks fawn
