im trying to mak a mold of something at home. i dont know what to buy that will dry rigid and hard and wont get stuck to the object that im trying to make a mold of. i was thinking of using paper mache but i dont know if it will dry very hard and rigid. can someone give me a product i can buy or a recipie to use?

Why don't you try coloured clay?You know,the one that can be used for making fake jewlery!It's not messy,smells nice and if you bake/boil it it becomes very hard.So?

If you cover the item in petroleum jelly (vaseline?) and or cling wrap that should prevent sticking. The best thing for mold making is plaster of paris which you can get at craft shops or sometimes hardware stores.
