Your half way there! Now go through each of the "body organ" options and see what matches YOU! It took me a while to figure this out. And remember you could be a combination...so choose the one that fits BEST, and consider a secondary. Hope that helps.

Nurturer or Communicator Depends on how wide your shoulders are - if they are as wide (or almost) as your hips - you are a communicator. If they are obviously narrower, you are probably a nurturer. What are your food preferences? Would your rather have nachos or a milk shake (nurturer) - or would you rather have a tall cafe latte & a cigarette? (Communicator) Or a tall pepsi (in Momi's case). Do you like to hang out with girlfriends and go shopping (nurturer), or would you rather stay home by yourself reading about cold fusion energy (communicator)? Click on that link and then tell us which one on the next page looks most like you. No. 1 would be a nurturer, no. 3 is a communicator. Not so sure about no. 2. Fawn

I know exactly how you feel. I've taken those tests a dozen times and each time I still come out a combo, nurturer/communicator. Even the 2 questions Fawn asks in the above post I get a mix. The first question I would be a nurturer, I would "rather have nachos or a milk shake". But the second question I would be a communicator, I would "rather stay home by yourself reading..." And my body shape is also somewhere in between the 2. Maybe some people are just a combo I guess.

It's fun playing at this but I'm really not sure what I am. I think I'm the type to gain on the upper body, and reckon I'm a stomach type according to that quiz. I'm also an Android type according to the other quiz just posted (which probably fits in with the first quiz results). So what do androids like best for BE... electric sheep?

Androids and warriors are the same-same.
The nurturer/communicator thing is difficult.
Hmm.... Do you have bony ankles & wrists?
Do your forearms look skinny even when your fat?
What shape is your head?
Do you have prominant collarbones?
What do you do to relax?

Hey Yurztruly, I am a newbee (or an old-bee?) depending on how you look at it, I was around when the big board was Mountaintop Herbs!! I only saw the beginnings of Pammy and Bob's boards before I ducked out on pregnancy leave. I am really new to this body type stuff and many of the current BE philosophies on this site (I will have to educate myself on those later when I can actually participate). But since I am interested in losing weight, I have been trying to educate myself on the bodytypes.
I personally was pretty frustrated with the four body types, because none of them really seemed to fit. My body type was closer to a Communicator (though still pretty different), but I answered the questions more like a Nurturer. Actually, I have never seen anyone with a body that gained weight in the same pattern as mine. But on the website where you found that picture, there are 25 body types given. I found this to be marvelous because I found two body types that fit me much better than any of the four (gallbladder and lung--neither is dead-on, put gallbladder's legs on lung's hips). I am intrigued enough to consider buying the book, but I haven't decided yet.
The icon picture that you see there is not one of the ones given on the website as an example of a body type, but they say that the book has several photo examples for each type. So, unfortunately, I can't tell you which type it is, but you can explore the types listed and see if one fits you. If you wanted to buy it really cheap, you can find it used at half.com, it is called "Different Bodies Different Diets". They give information on what to eat and how to excercise to feel your best. It may be a bunch of bunk, but I really like the greater variation. Hope that helps!

Geez maybe we are related...lol... Everything u described about yourself sounds just like me. Same skinny ankles/wrists...long bony finger...and very small ring size. Face also oval and long...arms have always been skinny...twig like! Collar bones are very pronounced.... There are only 2 things that I do differently... I read alot...and find it relaxing...but I don't know that I do it to relax....maybe so... And the other thing...I do smoke, not occassionally, but everyday! But I am attempting to quit! Kelly P.S. Do u see these traits in your family too? The reason I ask is cuz, none of my family is really built like me...and no I am not adopted although there were many times that it would have explained alot!

Fawn & I both smoke (for me), both have had successful BE programs. Yes it is true that smoking effects hormonal balance. Body type: me confused I am a nutricator! Actually, when I did all the tests...I am definately Type #1 with #2 as a secondary, cuz my butt ain't SMALL, and thyroid on the other site. ;D Everytime I do the body type quiz...I am come out nuturer! But I do gain weight on the butt and thighs. That's it...me postin' a pic...you guys decide! ;D Lost lil weight since this pic, neck bones stick out MORE!

No, u don't wanna take up smoking!!! BAD habit!!! I have smoked since I was 14, so that's been...let me do the math....13 years!!!OMG!!!!! I managed to quit twice both times I was pregnant...but it made me sick, so it wasn't hard to stop...not pregnant so it's a little harder now! I have been trying to quit this time for over a month, with no success...thinking about trying hypnosis, cuz it worked for some family members who smoked a really long time. Then I could just be done with it. I will say that in terms of having kids and smoking...I do NOT smoke around my kids...my hubby and I both smoke outside, and neither one of us let anyone else smoke around them either. We only sit in the smoking section of a restaraunt when the kids aren't with us. I am really good about things like that...but when it comes to self control/willpower...yea, I guess I have none. But this year is the year, I will quit! Kell

Kell-
Have you tried any of the aids out there to help one stop. There's even herbal ones. Whatever you try, share the word, I've a co-worker who's in a similar boat, and about the same age..who wants to quit pretty badly.
It's great that you take such precautions around your little ones..your and your husband's efforts are valient. And they say smoking cigarettes is better than other things....it's one of the strongest drugs out there IMHO!
