Hi Ladies,
I wanted to share something with all the wonderful folks here. We all seem to want to look our best and while waiting for our boobs to cooperate, here is something that has given me another kind of "lift."
I am 41 and hear that I look pretty young, but still gravity was taking it's toll. I noticed that I was getting, *gasp* the beginning of JOWLS and a a wee bit of double chin despite being slender. Also, I was just looking more tired in the face.
I did some research and found FACERCISE, a book by Carole Maggio. Got it for around 12 bucks at Borders, is also available online.
I've been doing the routine 5-7 nights a week--takes less than 15 minutes. Within two weeks I noticed a significant improvement. I was doing more than the recommended reps of some exercises, and it paid off. I was smiling one night and my boyfriend patted my cheek/jaw area and then commented, I swear, on my facial tautness and firmness! He did not know about the program and I had just started seeing him.
The book has some black and white photos and some of the descriptions of the exercises are not as detailed as I'd like. I got the video to help, also very cheap on ebay. Family members who I've not seen in over a year have commented on my looking younger. My budding turkey neck has gone away. My cheekbones look more defined and even my nose looks less droopy.
Carole also gives skincare tips. Her best one is to spritz the face with hydrogen peroxide after washing. I did this and my skin is much fresher, but I ended up bleaching my eyebrows, so now I cover them.
While on the topic of skincare, Neutrogena's Advanced Solutions Home Face Peel has also been fantastic. Between all of the above, I look several years younger and much better rested.
I hope that some of you find this useful, I've gotten so much from the board that I wanted to give something back!
