I just wanted to share something very important to me...Last night, as I was doing yet another empty search for my biological fathers side of the family, I did something that I had never for some reason tried before. I did a google search on him. And what I came up with still floors me!
I found one of my many sisters, who was looking for information on him. Our father passed away about a year ago, but she never knew him at all. I thought that I would send her an email just letting her know that I saw her site and felt compelled to atleast acknowledge the connection.
Today we talked on the phone! It was amazing! I never thought I would even be interested in anything like this, mostly because I am almost 30 and why bother now...but it was really nice!
The most bizarre thing about all this is the fact that when I pulled up the site, the very first thing you see are pictures of her. Which in turn look like pictures of me! We literally could be twins. We are exactly 14 mos. apart in age. She was born in PA, and I was born in IN. How weird is that?
I am still a little shell shocked...but I really am so excited to have some connection with her! There are literally atleast 14 known children so that leaves 12 more to be found. Although I am not quite sure that I would even try to search them out. I can imagine that some people don't want to be found, or even possibly there are too many bad memories that they may not want to relive.
