Hey Guys, Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem? I lost about 5 pounds in the last couple months - it wasn't intentional. Just stress, I guess. I was psyched because my body (EXCEPT MY BOOBS!) was finally the size I always dreamed of.
Yesterday I saw some pics of myself that were taken on vacation a few weeks ago. OH MY GOD!!! I thought I looked good - I look HORRIBLE! All this weight seemed to come out of my FACE. I'm 26, but in one pix, I swear I look 60 years old.
I am sooooooo depressed. The vacation pix taken of me at the same time last year looked great - these pix make me look sick and old. I can't believe I have gone downhill so much!! I want to cry!
I decided to try to gain some weight - but I am a little scared. I used to be quite chubby and I am afraid of getting fat again. The other thing is: I don't diet. I eat when I am hungry, stop when I am full, and eat whatever I want. That's great, but what am I supposed to do now? Force feed myself?
Any ideas, suggestions?
Thanks a mill! Lucy

Hi Lucille,
I have a friend who has always been very thin, but lost weight due to improper (lack of) eating, which made her even skinnier! She was feeling very self-conscious, and also didn’t know how to go about putting on a few pounds as she has a very high metabolism.
Well, she did manage to gain back to her original weight, and then some. She said that her trick was too force herself to eat at least 3 times a day, and to eat an especially large meal later in the evening than she normally would. Also, she snacked on a lot of things that were especially rich and fatty.
Good luck! Try not to feel down.
Jen

I have the same problem. All I can say is...welcome to the "skeltor" club. If I gain weight, it lands in my BUTT first . Loose weight it's my face first...of course it could be said that BOTH are my face. (couldn't resist that one!) I don't know what can be done about it, but I have the same problem...my kidz and friends call me Skeltor, and I am NOT that skinny!

Hiya Lucille- Yep, I had the same prob. I learned to eat dinner between 8-10p, and that helped me to keep some 'precious' pounds. I also snack throughout the day on 'rich-like' foods, like nuts and carb-y stuffs. Good luck...need fats to grow 'girls'

Same prob here. Always been skinny. Whatever weight I can manage to put on goes to my tummy (which, I must say, looks awful funny on a skinny person), then my butt. I have tiny wrists and ankles and a long skinny face (I hate it!). I haven't been able to put on any weight at all for the past year (I keep fluctuating from 116 to 118, which is the skinniest I have been since before I had children!!) The only time I look somewhat descent is in the summer, when I have a tan. Otherwise, in the winter I look even worse (pale, skinny face, dark circles under eyes), I look 'sick'. I have even been asked that on occasion! Sorry, don’t have any advice Myst

Guess I need to be in the 'skinny-face' club. Had one jerk tell me I needed to gain bout 10 pounds so my face didn't look sickly. What a jerk! Have a pretty high metabolism as well, and eat like you, when I want to until I'm full. Okay, don't laugh too hard about this, but I once read someone using facial exercise to enhance the muscles on their face. Nope, haven't tried it myself, too lazy Only just now remembered that. It's like a double-edged sword. You get a little bigger and it looks good on your face, but not the bod (mine goes to the butt and gut) or you slim down and the bod looks great but people start asking if there's something wrong with you cause you look sickly. Grrrr.... If anyone figures something out, let us 'skinny-faces' know, kya??

Ice Cream!
What I want to know why it is considered rude to pick on fat people, but ok to make rude comments to skinny people.

"What I want to know why it is considered rude to pick on fat people, but ok to make rude comments to skinny people." I know! My sis and her husband always make comments to me, like "When are you gonna start eating?" Or "You need to start eating some food!" Or her hubby will say to her privately "Is your sister sick or something??" Okay, um... I DO have feelings. >:(Do I go around and tell people they better stop eating food! when they are overweight? Absolutely NOT! Others should have the same respect for us skinnys. I dont know about the rest, but I DO eat. I have very high metabolism. I do everything fast (walk, cleaning, whatever) therefore I burn everything off fast as well. I am certainly not going to start to do everything in my life at a snails pace to please those that would like to see me with more weight. Okay, sorry, I guess that is a touchy subject for me! Didn't quite know how much that bothered me until I started typing. Guess I used this board to vent once again ;D Thanks for listening! Myst

I hear ya' Myst, last weekend we were at a cook out, my bro inlaw kept commenting that I don't eat. So I had a plate of food, made SURE he saw me eat it. Next thing he starts teasing me about "throwing" it up. Looked around the yard for a pile of puke. He was teasing btw, but it does get annoying. I am very happy with my weight, not gonna gain weight cuz other's are jealous! Here's to the "skinny faced people". ;D
