Anyone seen Absolve, also a fat-burning gel, made by Avant (I think)? I've been trying to order LipoDerm online but the darn checkout page kept crashing, so I ended up doing a search on other topicals, and came up with this. It's meant to be specifically for abs (men's probably), and the blurb said it was especially effective on fat due to cortisol that builds up on abs particularly, on otherwise fairly lean people. It was around 21 British pounds, so I ordered 1 Absolve and one LipoDerm. I think the LipoDerm will work on fat in other areas (like thighs) that collects due to estrogen or other factors. I just feel my stomach is squishing at the moment! The muscles are there and I'm not a bigger dress size, just softer!! Still haven't ordered the T Tapp system - I pulled a back muscle that's taking WEEKS to heal, so am just taking walks at the moment and doing gentle stretching. Also ordered gotu kola for skin tightening ... any other ideas? WQ

Yeah - Absolve & Lipoderm work differently. Lipoderm is for estrogenic fat stores. Absolve is not - but I haven't looked too deeply into that, as I'm not a "Warrior" type and have a defined-enough waist.
Let us know how they work for you.

I've been curious about LipDerm. So it works pretty good? I've been reading posts on it but just wondered how good it does work. I could really use some on my hips and thighs....*sigh*Also what is the average price out it?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi, Fawn-- I'm a new member and don't know much about any of these subjects. Does LipoDerm-Y actually work? Is there any evidence anywhere I could read about? It seems too good to be true that you could just apply a topical lotion of some kind to your tummy, and it would magically reduce the "poochiness." Thanks, crypto

I'm not Fawn, but I thought I'd give you my 2 cents.
I havn't tried either of these products though I would like to. I just want to add that from all the info I've read on them you can't just magically make your fat disappear. Not that these products dont work. You just have to give them something to work with. Here is a quote from a website that describes the process.
"So What's The Catch? There are two. While "the product" forces the fat out of adipose tissue cells and into the bloodstream to be used as energy, the fat doesn't just disappear. You have to help by increasing physical activity or decreasing caloric intake so the fat isn't redeposited. Secondly, you can't rub "the Product" all over your body at the same time. There is simply no way for your body to utilize all the newly released fat. Therefore, as one member of the original research team suggests, “choose your most problematic area first ... use the product until you get the desired results, then move on, one problem area at a time, until you've literally melted the fat and molded your body to a more pleasing shape.” "
This is from a different and WAY MORE EXPENSIVE product, but the idea is the same. You have to USE MORE ENERGY to burn off the fat the product releases. You can usually do that by eating fewer than your normal caloric intake or excercising to burn the calories. Not a magic cream but probably a very helpful one.
If you want to find some more info on these or any transdermal product just do a search for "transdermal fat loss" on google. HTH --Jane

Just adding something to Jane's comments: Having used Yohimburn with some success it's also helpful to refrain from eating at least 2 hours prior to and one half hour after applying the product. I was part of the discussion last year and what you want is the body to metabolize only the fat that is released by the product and not the food that you've just consumed. Otherwise, you're squandering effort as well as money as they're relatively expensive. The other thing I used to do was exercise after applying the Yohimburn to jump start the process. Patience is definitely a requirement but it does pay off later.
