Does anyone know why instead of feeling energized after a weighted work out or vigorous walk/run, I feel angry....positively enraged? Leisurely walks leave me as down and tired as when I started. Yoga seems to have a positive effect emotionally, but does nothing for the thighs. I thought all the extra oxygen to the brain was supposed to make you feel better...energy, positive outlook. Does this happen to anyone else? Does anybody know why? Thanks. tea

hmmmm, exercise usually makes me feel good, unless I over did it.
You say that yoga does nothing for the thighs, but have you tried ashtanga yoga? It's relaxing like other types of yoga (invloves a special breathing technique that you do throughout the workout), but is faster paced, gets the heart rate up, and tones all of your muscles. It flows from one posture to the next. You could try looking on videofitness.com for reviews of different videos.
Also, have you thought of trying meditation. I know it won't help tone anything, but if you are feeling angry etc, maybe it would help with that. I learnt Transcendental Meditation (TM) a couple of years ago, and it was pretty good. I haven't kept it up, but might go back to it one day.

I have heard of ashtanga yoga. I don't know what type I'm doing, but it is pretty easy, except for the headstand. Thank you. I will look into it. tea
