Thanks Wahaika for all the help with this. I was talking to my husband about it and he also thinks it's something worth looking into. He also knows that I have a strange love of money...lol... I had thought previously that I would be really good at helping people with things of this nature, as well as helping them become more aware of how to spend more wisely and save money too... I am going to check into a few of the schools that are closest to me and see what I can find out. I don't think I have been this excited in a long time!!! ;D I have been sitting here for a year wishing that I could just come up with the right idea, or find what I really wanted to do...I have gone over this idea a few times, but never this seriously and never thought of running it out of my home. I guess I just assumed that I would go back to work for someone else...which I would rather do things my way. I thank u again for all your help and ideas with this. I will let u know what I come up with. , Kelly

Just a question for anyone who can put their 2 cents in...I have been looking into getting started with all this, and have come to realize that it would be in my best interests to go back to school. Anyone know anyone who has done classes online? Looks interesting, but a little sceptical! Help please! Thanks, Kelly

Hello Kelly,
Well, since there are no other takers here, I guess I'll throw my two cents in. I don't know if it has changed but when all the online classes were still in their beginnings, there was a tendancy to assign LOADS of homework and tests were very hard and a lot of work - because everything had to be assumed to be open book.
Another drawback is access to an instructor in real time. I don't know what their availability is for online students, but the live ones can meet them in their office if they need additional help. With online students, there could be hundreds because there is no physical class room to limit the class size.
It's probably just me, but I prefer a good two year county college with a live instuctor giving live instruction answering my questions in class as I get them, so as to keep up with my thought processes while I am learning something new.
That's my two cents.
Wahaika

I agree with u on prefering a live classroom experience...however, with limited time and resources this may be a better option for me. And since I have known no one to actually do online courses, I thought that I would atleast check it out and ask around. The main problem I would have with having to go back to school is daycare for my kids...since I have no income, it's kinda hard to work out funds to pay someone to watch 2 kids so I can go back to school.( and no family willing to help out with taking care of the kids) I don't know...maybe I will continue to look into this and see what I find out...otherwise, looks like I am gonna have to work something out with someone so I can head back to the classroom. Thanks for the advice...I appreciate! Kelly

Kelly-
I've a close friend who teaches online classes. It depends on the major, however, from my observations, if it's accredited, you can get the same quality. There's even online sessions for question and answer.
It can be a benefit and deficit to be able to work at your own pace, however, online schooling can definitely be an option.
Now, as far a an accredited site...depends on what ur interested in..my friend's in 'Education' field and programming.
Keep diggin'
