Okay, so I was doing some research on bc pills and I came across some info that I had never heard of before..Currently I am on the depo shot and am wanting to go back to taking the pill...shot has too many bad side effects for me.. Anyways, I was looking around and found some sites that have info on only having 4 periods a year..something about instead of taking the spacer pills(or sugar pills) the week u have your period..you would just continue to take the regular pills themselves..Then after so long, u would quit for a week and bleed...sounds pretty interesting to me! The reason I went on the depo was to get rid of the periods...that's was a joke..I did get rid of the "period", but what I got instead was constant bleeding...didn't work so well for me I guess... Anyways, has anyone heard of this or tried it??? I'd be interested to know what u think.. Kelly

Yep..I've heard of it. It's a fairly recent one..called Seaonale..one period each season. You just have to remember to take pills everyday for 3 mos. Missing days..or being late may not be as big a problem as regular 'Pills' since you are always on them.
I'm on Yasmin (regular pill) which has a diurectic and spriloctane in it (chemical SP). Some transvestites use spriloctane shots to help them transform into women. So far, since changing from Depo, I've been able to retain a full B/baby C. Working on more..but, I've got a break coming up.
Seasonale may be worth looking into..check to see what u have to do when pills are missed. See how many hoops you'll need to jump thru.

I spoke with my doctor this morning about this and the info that he gave me sounded pretty good...so what the heck, I'll try anything at this point! The reason I decided to go with the depo was to get rid of the periods. Mine were anywhere from 10-12 days and the first 5-7 were always really heavy. And we all know how we feel after so much bleeding, right? Well, the doctor called me in a script for the seasonale and told me to start taking these right away. I went to pick it up and found out that because it is so new, my insurance doesn't cover it...go figure! The stuff cost me $115.00 for a 3 month supply...ouch!!! Well, we'll see if this works better than the depo! God, I hope so! Kelly

The pills are exactly the same as any other I have ever taken, except for the fact that they are packaged with three months worth instead of just one. Still are marked by the day of the week....I'll keep u posted on how this works out...wish me luck! I'm gonna need it...lol.. Kelly
