Hello all, sorry if this adds some confusion to the board! I'm still trying to do lots of research to solve my breast size difference and why it might have happened when I came across information about adoptive mothers who are trying to achieve the ability to lactate (which is apparently possible) - There is a part of the instructions which I find very very interesting and perhaps useful ( ): "Yasmin or Microgestin is taken for 30-60 days non-stop, only active pills, no sugar pills, together with the domperidone 20 mg 4 times per day. If significant breast changes occur within 30 days, the birth control pill is stopped while maintaining the domperidone, and the pumping schedule begins. Significant breast changes include an increase in breast size (1 cup) and breasts that feel full, heavy and painful. Note: stopping the protocol before these breast changes occur is not recommended." Now here is a question for those who have been mothers or for anyone else who might know - would these types of changes be permanent? Apparently Milk does not form in this process until after pumping is begun - after the birth control is stopped. Therefore, the fullness is not caused by Milk, it caused by tissue formation. At least that is my understadning. If this is the case, they are saying progesterone has a big part in it - which has be confused. Although, it would make sense in my life - my larger breast started to grow just after I had the IUD inserted and it contains progestin. Sigh...more qustions...more questions.... Take care, Twilightsrose

Hey TRose- My surmation is this. Estrogen helps fats, progestin/progesterone helps with growth of glands. It's the glands where the milk comes from, so u gotta grow those, too. So then once u get something from where the milk can come, as the site mentions, you keep prolactin levels elevated to produce flow of milk. Does that help? Glands provide structure around which fats store for size on breasts. Interesting link...
