Hi Fawn To answer your question, I am trying to gain some weight. Not much, but about ten pounds. I lift weights and have a hard time with weight gain. My brother has the same problem. I eat fatty foods, so my diet is condusive to weight gain, but I seem to work it off. I am just trying to build a little more mass (but I don't want it all muscle). I think I would look better if I had a little more bulk. Any suggestions? I know some weight lifters use weight gain shakes, but I have heard they are not very effective. Thanks, M97

I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would slow metabolism, but increasing your estrogen may help.
If you're just trying to put on a little fat, try increasing the amount of starchy foods you eat, not just fatty foods. Add baked regular or sweet potatoes to your diet, and bananas. You can also put on some fat by eating a high carbohydrate meal before bed - say oatmeal, toast and banana with cream and butter. (sounds good - d**n - now I'm hungry!)

Thanks Fawn. I just love lifting so much that I don't really want to cut back, but I also don't really want the "body-builder" look. Maybe the BO I started will help me out! Have a good one, M97
