well since i cant get rid of my BO im going to try it instead of the herbs. before i start i was just questionable about a few things. so if anyone knows whats best and whats not i would appreciate your help. well i started orth tricyclen lo just over a week ago so do you think perhaps i should wait a cycle before i start?? or does it matter?? im going to massage. would it be ok to use fenugreek and olive oil, or saw palmetto and olive oil? its still alright to use herbs externally with massaging right?? and about protein. i know protein is important no matter if you take herbs or bo but do i specifically need more protein with BO?? and lastly, doi eat and then take bo or do i do it on an empty stomach?? alright sorry the essay is over

Hi there Kelly, My 2 cents: Maybe you should wait a cycle to give your system a chance to get used to it before adding BO. Re massage. Personally, I think fenugreek is what you need (as its a phytoestrogen). You could mix SP in with it, but I find fenugreek works fine alone. Protein: The BO routine seems to place more emphasis on protein than the herbal one. You could get hold of a protein shake just to make sure you always have a quick source of protein to hand. I think some BO users just increased their dietary protein intake and dropped the shakes altogether. Someone is sure to give you feedback on this. Take BO WITH food - try taking it with a protein rich snack that doesn't have too much fibre. Fibre might slow down the absorbtion process. Herbs should be taken on an empty stomach. You might like to think about taking SP internally (fine with BO) and even adding oregano or damiana as PR blockers. You can reserve these additions for later to tweak your regime. Fawn's site has great info on a BO routine. Good luck, WQ

WarriorQueen- thanks for your advice. i think that i will wait a cycle or 2 before starting, i dont want to overwhelm and mix up things for my body too much or too fast. so it is alright to take herbs orally. is it just certain herbs that you can also take while on bo?? alright well thank you kelly

Hi Kelly, If you're taking BO and herbs, you only take herbs that are NOT phytoestrogens. This is because BO is your estrogen trigger/source. The herbs you can take in combination with BO are damiana and oregano - both act to block progesterone, and SP which blocks the conversion of estrogen to androgens (if I remember rightly). WITH BO: YES to damiana/oregano, SP NO to fenugreek, fennel, red clover and all phytoestrogenic herbs Hope this helps. Good luck WQ

Great advice, WQ. BTW, RC and fenugreek for topical massage are fine.
