Venus -
L'Ornithine by itself is fine, and if it doesn't give you cold sores all the better.
Arginine is converted to ornithine for HGH production anyway. The reason they recommend arginine is because it is much cheaper.
There are some precautions - 1) being cold sore flare-ups and 2) people with RA or lupus or other chronic muscle conditions might find arginine exacerbates their pain via increased nitric oxide production.

Fawn,
Thanks a million!
I will continue with the L-ornithine then. Do you think 500mg each night is a good amount? Also, should I continue with the L-glutamine (also 500mg) as well?
Thanks again, Venus

Sounds like a good starter plan, to me.
