Hey Gals, Well, I am pretty excited because I am almost through with AF and I haven't lost any growth! Wooooo-eeee!
My only gripe? I am having a big problem with the fenugreek stench!! You ladies must be more feminine than me because you smell like pancakes ... and I come out smelling like INDIAN FOOD!!!
A co-worker took me aside a few weeks ago to inform me of my smell - this was while I was still going out in public with fenugreek boobie batter in my bra. MISTAKE! Now I only use it at night, but she claims to still smell it. And I was in a store the other day when bunch of people started commenting about a "curry smell". Oh god, I wanted to die!
Sooooo, I have switched my boobie batter to a mix of fennel, red clover, and wild yam. What do you think?? Will this be as effective as almighty fenugreek?? Ideas, input?
I am still taking 1500 mgs of fenugreek internally each day ... hoping that isn't a part of the problem ...

Hey Lucille, I was reading your post and started thinking....I used to work with a girl who always smelled like syrup...And everytime I read a thread of the pancake smell I think of her...lol....anyways, my thought is this...The companys who manufacture these herbs should really start making a line of perfume or something to help cover it up. I guess now they could make 2 different scents..one to cover the syrup smell, and another to cover up the indian food smell! I am curious to know...would it make a difference to try like a stronger scented deodorant? Maybe not...but I was thinking of using my husbands...u know how strong they tend to smell! Kelly

Hello, the fenugreek smell actually seems to come from your sweat glands. As silly as this might sound, try sniffing your armpits when they don't have deodorant. Then you will know. It actually seemed to work as a type of deodorant for me. I had the same problem when I was taking fenugreek just internally. Happily though, I didn't mind the smell, my boyfriend actually loved the smell (of maple syrup) and no-one else ever made a comment. I was definately lucky. When I first starting reading about the herbs, I found a website which said that fenugreek only starts to work when you use the quantity where you can actually start to smell it on yourself. It was a website about breast feeding and using the herb to help with milk flow. Take care, Twilightsrose

I think that you are stuck with the maple syrup smell to a small extent with internal fenugreek. As far as changing the booby batter, I think that would be a mistake.
I have read where Moninator used pepermint extract to hide the smell and it worked very well for her. You might give that a try. Then you can smell like Christmas cookies!
I still have serious doubts about Red Clover due to the inhibition of blood vessels forming. This is part of the support/distribution system that is needed. If you leave that out, then Fennel might be an alternative. Fenugreek is still the most effective.
That's my two cents. Hang in there!

Hi Wahaika, Thanks for the input - do you mean you doubt Red Clover's effectiveness in boobie batter ... or internally as well? I've actually had very good results since adding Red Clover, which is why I thought it might work topically.
Is anybody else using Red Clover in their boobie batter?
Should I try using only Fennel for my massages?? Ideas anybody?
Thanks!!

ME! I use fennel, red clover, fenugreek, Peppermint (McCormicks), EPO. I tried batter without EPO for a month...no growth. So I threw it back in the recipe. I also have started the Reiki massage technique along with what I have always done. Notice a lot more pains, tingles, etc.;D The tops are starting to fill....so me on the way again. Why can't we loose fat off our BUTTS first instead of the boobs.

Hey Mominator, Glad that inward reiki massage is working for ya!! I think that is what's helped me keep most of my growth while AF has been passing through!
I'll have to give the EPO a try ... what is your take on wild yam in boobie batter?? Do you think I have a chance without fenugreek??
Thanks!

Hi Lucille,
Genistein is used to starve tumors due to its effect of keeping new blood vessels from forming. Red Clover has genistein in it. This is my only concern. If you are getting results that you can attribute to Red Clover then keep using it!
This is all theoretical guesswork anyway, and you can't argue with results!
Saw Palmetto is similar. I have seen a LOT of studies that cite SP as an aromatase inhibitor. Saw Palmetto is a staple herb here and has been shown to work for BE. So it looks like there is more unknown than known out there in the scientific world.
I don't want to start a movement against Red Clover. I think that it is one more thing to consider. But to replace Fenugreek with Red Clover, for example, is a mistake unless there are specific reasons for doing so.
Adding RC could be good but you have to watch out for stalling if too much of the estrogenic herbs are added. So if you add RC you might lower Wild Yam, for example, to keep the intake of estrogenic herbs the same. You don't want to initiate a negative feedback signal by filling all receptors all the time.

Just wanted to say hang in there with the smell. I remembered it all too well. Body chemistries, aren't they fun?? It's like perfume, and how they smell different on each person. You get the indian food smell, others get pancakes! The lengths we will go through to get some boobs....

Oh yeah....I always forget to add that my boobie batter recipe has Wild Yam and Sp in it! Cuz it's in the GB Enhancement blend;) So YEAH! It should be used with BE....from what I understand, Wild Yam does have some progesterone receptor block abilities in the breast receptors. So....yeah! Add it in! Rub-a-dub-dub! And the Reiki does seem to be at least doing sumptin', I am getting a lot more pains & itchies. Some stronger tingles too, could be the internal herbs....but....what could the Reiki hurt. The way I look at it...maybe I am moving the fat from the bottoms of boobs to the tops, and creating some cleavage. Oh YEAH! Me loves that!;D

Hi Lucille, I started a thread a while back regarding using essential oils in the booby batter. I've noticed most of my growth with those (I'm a full A, and still full 'though I'm in AF right now -- last month I actually lost some during AF, but that hasn't happened this time yet . Try adding a little geranium EO and ylang-ylang EO to your batter. They're more floral smelling, and for me personally, they do a great job of covering up the smells of the other things I use in the batter. Plus, the combination of those two essential oils are good for BE. I also use fennel and anise EOs, which have very mild fragrances and are not offensive. These are all fairly inexpensive, and might work to cover up that smell for you. They'll benefit your BE program, too! Grace

Hi Princess Grace, Well, that is exciting news! I'd like to find a formula that I can use during the daytime, as well. So you don't use fenugreek at all? Just a blend of essential oils? Can you share your secret formula with me??? Thanks
