Hi sisters, I restarted BE in the end of November after a three-month break. I would like to hear you guys' opinion about my temps. Before taking a break, my temps were kinda fluctuated, but they went back to nomal in the last two months of the break. I thought this was because the residues were finally removed out of the body and my system was normalized. After restarting BE, my temps became wild again. I was used to have rather low temps. Now my temps have been hovering around 98.4- 98.6 since last lutheal phase. My second period has just gone (so I am not pregnant) but my temps are still that high. I do not take L-tyrosine. Here is my regimen: VitaminPower BO 1800mg SP 4000mg Oregano 800mg Last month I took 10mg of pregnenolone three times a week for 4 weeks but quit, since I thought these strange temps might be due to it . Did not see any change while taking it. My period came at regular cycle (28days). Is it possible that I have high progesterones from the pregnenolone but they are not converted into estrogens Does it explain the high temps? Sorry, I could not make this concise. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks, Ayact

Ayact- Seems like ur body's functioning just fine. If ur temps are higher, ur thyroid's active..which means the estrogen's not slowing u down a bit. Now the question is, do u feel sensations and the bit at all?

Hi Wen,
Well, higher temps are welcome in terms of BE, but high temps do not necessarily mean the thyroid gland is finely functioning. I am saying this because I was used to have low temps since I was little. It is natural for me to think something has happened or is going on, rather than just to think my thyroid has suddenly become functioned. It is possible that something has happened to the hypothalamus. It is also possible that protein intake for BE helps the thyroid produce better amount of hormones as well. Besides, temps narurally drop as soon as period comes. That is the way the reproductive system is (I do not use any of the contraceptives). If it does not happen, it means something that is abnormal is going on such as pregnancy, drug effects, or hormonal abnormality.
I wonder what is making my body stay in high temps.
By the way, I feel NOTHING. Just gaining weight.

Ayact,
The pregnenolone could be increasing progesterone & thyroid temps, but as wen said, higher temps are a good thing. And progesterone isn't always a bad thing, either.
If after 30 days you feel nothing, you may want to increase BO to 2200 or 2400.
Honestly - I got NOTHING unless I kept it at 2200+

I know progesterone is not bad. I actually think the hormone is very important to maintain homeostasis of the reproductive system.
I am just worried about what is causing the sudden change in my temps, since it is unusual with me. Maybe I am too worried.
Thanks Fawn & Wen,
Ayact

I dunno -
I'm having a bit of the same thing going on, registering around 99 every time I go to the doctor.
I have been using coconut oil, but not that often or regularly.
Hmmmm....

I think I'm looking into the temp. thing again. If I really get bundled up I can get the thermometer to break 98.0. Desperate times call for desperate research. tea
