The last few days I've moved my last dose of BO to bedtime with a snack (since reading about growth hormone during sleep). But, I keep waking up in the night. I don't know if it's just coincidence, but wondered if anyone else has experienced disturbed sleep taking BO (or herbs) at bedtime. Or, is there any reason why this might happen? If it continues, I'll have to move the last dose to earlier in the evening again.

Hey Shaz... What kind of snack are you taking. If it has any carbs...drop it. Carbs make it harder to get into a sound sleep, so ur more apt to have a restless nite or wake up. Take w/ tbsn of peanut butter, nut, or even a piece of meat..but no chips or anything.

Actually carbs WILL make you sleepy, because of the seratonin rush, and the drop in blood sugar after the insulin has processed it. However, they will reduce the amount of GF produced during sleep, so you do want to take a protein snack. Quite frankly, I'm not sure if taking the BO RIGHT before bed is helpful, because it does take some time to process through digestion. If you take it RIGHT before bed, it will not be available during the first two hours of sleep. So - try taking it a little earlier in the evening. If you go to bed around 11PM, try taking it around 8-9. I'm not sure why, or IF it is what is wakening you. Could it be that you drink an awful lot of water to get it down? Try taking it a little earlier. Fawn

Hey! Yeah! I am good! I had the same theory Fawn! I take my supplements (herbs) about 1 hour before bed...cuz I want them digested and moving in my blood stream. I noticed if I take them just BEFORE bed, I wake up the next morning and have burped fenugreek! Oh yeah...that's attractive!

Ok, I usually have a fairly late dinner anyway, so I'm going to switch back to taking my last dose with dinner. I don't know, maybe it's the protein snack that's keeping me awake, I don't really like going to bed feeling full. Thanks for the input!
